While visiting Optimist Hall, we decided to get some coffee and breakfast from Undercurrent Coffee. We went with the Southern Spice Latte and Avocado Toast. Both of these were fantastic. Some of the best we have had in the Charlotte area. Everything tasted great and we would highly recommend Undercurrent Coffee!
Ordered a breakfast burrito, and despite them not being that busy( less than 5 customers ordered or picked up items while waiting), it took them ~10 mins to make. It was good once I got it, took too long, particularly for $9. Almost got to the point where I thought they might have missed my order.
I love the atmosphere at Optimist Hall.
Undercurrent has a great atmosphere and decorations as well.
The employees were very friendly and helpful!
The coffee was pretty solid (I got my usual latte), the sausage breakfast sandwich I got fell short of my expectations, and the breakfast burrito was overtly salty.
I’ll definitely come back and try some pastries and some other breakfast items though.
Quite a good shop to check out!
