I truly enjoyed my experience in the shop but it was mostly because of Isaac, the employee helping me. As soon as I walked in he had the BEST customer service i’ve had in a while. He was so kind, patient and went above and beyond to help me find what I was looking for. He had great energy about him that made me want to stay even longer. Got the brown sugar cookie dough brownie ice cream, was so delicious! Price was a bit steep though at $7.50 for one scoop, but would get it again.
The ice cream is good and unique. They have many asian inspired flavors, and their scoops are generous. I had the strawberry matcha. I had to wait for workers to return from the back in order to get the code to the bathroom door, but they were very friendly and patient especially when giving samples. Seating area is small but relatively comfortable. Parking is frustrating in the Commonwealth area but that's to no fault of Van Leeuwen.
