I’ve been ordering from Village Juice at Optimist Hall for four years and always loved it until recently. Orders take longer and longer to make each time I go now. It used to be maybe 5-10 minutes for a smoothie or smoothie bowl order. Now I wait 30 minutes or longer for a smoothie or smoothies bowl.Today I placed an order online ten minutes before I arrived and wait an additional twenty minutes when I arrived. It’s ridiculous that they think it’s acceptable to be this understaffed and customers will just be upset with the staff when it’s not their fault for being understaffed.

I’ve gone here twice and enjoyed my food and service both times. I was told my food would be a 15 minute wait but it was more like 10, and they used a text notification system to notify me my food was ready. I have to eat gluten free and they have several options. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is that the bowls I’ve ordered didn’t have many toppings compared to lettuce, but the dressing was really good so I hardly noticed. I’d recommend if you’re looking for a lighter and healthier option.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options

I order regularly and wish that the folks behind the counter were just a a bit friendlier (wouldn’t take much). Tonight I was there with an active child, and the guy could not have been more unfriendly. He was talking to someone in the kitchen and seemed put out to have to get my pick up order. And instead of just handing my bowl where I’d been talking to him- he had me walk to the end of the island to get it (with a restless child under foot). As many times as I’ve ordered there and just a little bit of thoughtfulness could go a long way.

Wanted to try something different. Love the salads here. I got the Village Cobb and the sunset smoothie. Plan to try breakfast next weekend. Workers were very friendly.

Kids love the pinky swear smoothie. Last few times the service has been so slow. Two ppl working today that appeared to be treading quick sand behind the counter they were moving so slow. Went to Harriets, ordered and had food in 3-5mins.

First time visiting this establishment. I had the combination build your own salad. Salad was good and made a nice meal for lunch. Prices are somewhat fair in this market. $14.00 for salad alone.

I went here yesterday because I was looking for a healthier eating option at optimist hall.Upon first impressions, the place seemed nice: the worker was nice and greeted me as soon as I walked up, the food, on the other hand, is a different story.I LOVE a good salad but the one I got here wasn't good. The "Tropical Chicken" salad had mangos, goat cheese, chicken, and pistachios on it. It also came with some sort of vinaigrette, which was the best part of this salad. The ratio between toppings and lettuce was totally off. It was almost all lettuce, barely sprinkled with chicken, mango, and pistachio. For the price I paid what I got was not worth it at all. Lettuce is cheap, and for $14 to buy a salad that is 90% lettuce is absurd. I've been at this place before and got a smoothie which was pretty good but not worth the price. If you're considering getting anything from here, I’d suggest to prepare for disappointment.
