“Good lord, the sushi here is incredible. Their sushi makes tears of joys run down my face and each delectable bite. I've never had sushi that tasted like heaven before this. The food alone makes this place 5 stars. It's also pretty cozy, and service is good.

“Had Lobster Bisque, Beef Wellington and companions had Smash burger and Wagyu burger. All the food was excellent!!! Also had Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert. If I were to criticize anything it would be the ice cream on the dessert was not good and the Truffle Martini was overpowering truffle....and I love truffle, but couldn't finish the drink. Definitely recommend eating there.“

“We ate dinner there on a Monday, 9/25/23 while on our 50th anniversary vacation. We chose the outdoor seating. My wife got the vegetarian tacos with a side of sweet potato tots. I got the fried shrimp tacos with a chef’s side of maple balsamic glazed Brussels sprouts. The food was fantastic and a big thanks to our server, Eliza C., who was super! These are the best wings ever! They are huge and on Wednesdays, they have their wing special. The lady that took our order over the phone was wonderful! “We had two signature items from the menu that we have had many times. Not up to par this time (9-21-22). French onion soup was like warm. Mediterranean appetizer over browned. Italian pasta salad needed more oil and grated cheese. The added tofu was practically burnt and flavorless.“

“My family and are I are extra thankful this year for the kindness and generosity of Jeff and Pam Pulley, the owners of Mountain Perks Espresso Bar & Cafe. Two weeks ago, my kids and I came to Bryson City to ride the Polar Express train with friends. GPS said I was only .5 of a mile away from my destination, but my car got stuck on the rocky road on a very steep mountain and I had no cell service. Turns out I inadvertently got lost very high up on the mountain (later we would found out I was 20 minutes away from the house we were staying). My kids and I walked to the nearest house that had a light on, and by the grace of God, Jeff and Pam took us in and helped us. Jeff and his neighbor, Keith, also got my car out of the ditch I backed into, and my kids and I were still able to make the train ride. Jeff and Pam didn’t have to open up their door and help three complete strangers, but they did with open arms. Jeff and Keith didn’t have to get my car out, but they did. Let this story remind you that there are truly amazing people in this world; Jeff and Pam (and Keith) are angels walking among us! My kids and I visited Jeff and Pam at their coffee shop the next morning, and let me just say, their food and coffee are delicious! I highly recommend going there if you are ever in Bryson City, and they are located right across from the train station!“
