“The taste!!! I'm a transplanted NY'er, so naturally I purchased a large NY style cheesecake. Four days later, it was gone. I did let my wife have a slice however 🤣“

“I go to this establishment to get coffee and to play chess on my tablet, I'll be honest I have never eaten the food, I also go to this establishment to enjoy the eye candy, that's street talk for looking at the beautiful older females. The place is so clean I believe they can possibly past a USA. Marine Corps inspection since I am a old school ex marine from the early 70s. They need a larger restaurant for inquisitive minds while starting the morning off great and unwinding after the work or play day is coming to end. I just love their efforts to be nice and kind and professional to all guest, who knows made one day the may put on their menu those old school grease brown pepper bag of oat meal cookies that many upon many of boys and girls enjoyed in the early years of 1960s 50s 40s and beyond. We I love the establishment stop by sometime and whoop my butt on the chess board. Peace and blessings to you all.“

“Great day in the morning! Delicious 🤤 My husband picked up a few items this morning for us to enjoy outdoors nearby with our son on this first day of summer. I’m dieting and a bit of a picky eater. Lort! I gobbled alll that stuff down. I did not share my half of my Asiago cheese bagel with my 15 month old. In fact I hid from him. I did share the delectable croissant with him which he gobbled up. The danish was there and then gone in an instant. Yuuummm. Cannot wait to visit again soon!“

“As of this current year, up until this morning, I was thrilled with this location. Being that I work in Clemmons, I used to frequent the Clemmons spot, but that location is absolutely awful. Nice baristas but the wait, and parking lot logistics are so very bad. I started to go out of my way, and used Cloverdale. For a long time, it was my favorite. Great baristas deliver yummy food & service. Then they started with a barista out in the drive through, which IMO, resulted in watery drinks and cold food. So, I started with Jonestown. Not as out of my way, but still backtracking. Anyway, great baristas and yummy food. I even got hit while waiting at the window, by the dude behind me. But even that, didn’t compare to today’s crappy visit. I don’t know where the regular crew were, and I understand that people have bad days, but when you work with the public directly, and you are the face people see before driving away, you really should be at your best and act happy with your job, or at the very least smile and be courteous. The guy seemed deflated and told me it was busy, though I have seen it way worse. I tried to make it better by smiling and attempting to chat, but he just stood there and didn’t engage. Then he handed me one bag, and said have a good day. I said I still needed another bag and a drink. He looked at me with a blank expression. I then looked into the bag, and didn’t see my sandwich. I notified him it was wrong and he didn’t seem concerned. I showed him the bag and he said, yea a bacon Gouda. I said yea but it’s sausage and cheddar, it’s wrong. Again, blank stare. Someone else came over, I repeat myself and that person looks in the bag and says oh they put sausage on it, and walks away. I say to original barista, they also put cheddar, it’s not the sandwich I ordered. He finally says oh yea we made the wrong one. Ugh. So he steps away and comes back with another bag (my bakery item). Hands it to me and says have a good day. I say, I am still waiting for the coffee and the correct sandwich. So he steps away again and hands me the correct sandwich, which looks like someone made it without and care - ciabatta is off the egg and bacon is dangling off the sandwich, fine whatever. I repeat about my coffee. He looks confused. I repeat my coffee order, he steps away, and then as he is handing it to me, he runs his hand all over the top of the lid, including the spout area 🤦🏻♀️ It started with ordering. I’ve ordered my coffee this way for years. A grande iced coffee - light ice - with caramel & cream, classic ok. But this time the barista didn’t understand and started asking me if I wanted caramel syrup or drizzle. I have no idea, no one has ever asked me?? Ugh. I’m not typically a complainer, I usually broadcast fabulous service and understand everyone has bad days. But, I don’t think I will return to this location, which doesn’t leave me with many other location options. Now I’m deflated and I’m heading into work. Will I let this crappy morning affect me? No, because I work with the public and that’s not how I roll.“

“This was our second time eating here. Both times the service was a little off. Items ordered but not delivered even after asking again. Celebrations happen very frequently. An average of four times during both of our visits. The celebrations are done with a giant firework lit at the table (not ours but all around us). The smoke in the air from all those fireworks gets super heavy in such a small space. The food is always amazing at least“

“Okay, prepare your taste buds for a journey, because Nawab Indian Cuisine in Winston-Salem just delivered an experience that transcended mere dining. It was a symphony of flavors, a culinary revelation, and I'm still vibrating from the afterglow.
Let's start with the Aloo Tikki Chat. This wasn't just an appetizer; it was a vibrant, playful explosion. The potato patties themselves were perfectly crispy on the outside, yielding to a tender, subtly spiced interior. But what truly elevated this dish was the masterful interplay of textures and temperatures. Cool, creamy yogurt danced with tangy tamarind chutney and bright green cilantro chutney, while a scatter of crisp, savory chickpea noodles (sev) added a delightful crunch. Each bite was a delightful kaleidoscope – sweet, sour, savory, spicy – all coalescing into a harmonious, utterly addictive start to the meal. It was a lively, energetic dish that practically sang with flavor, a testament to Nawab's commitment to authentic street food done right.
And then, the main event: the Eggplant Bharta (Vegan). Oh, this bharta. This glorious, smoky, soulful bharta. Forget any preconceived notions you have about eggplant; this dish elevates it to an art form. The eggplant is clearly roasted or grilled to perfection, imparting a deep, mesmerizing smokiness that permeates every single luscious bite. It's then masterfully mashed and folded into a rich, aromatic gravy brimming with perfectly balanced spices. You taste the warmth of ginger, the subtle heat of chilies, and a symphony of other fragrant elements that create a deeply satisfying, incredibly complex flavor profile. It's creamy without being heavy, robust without being overwhelming, and utterly comforting. Each spoonful was a revelation, a testament to the power of simple, fresh ingredients transformed by skilled hands into something truly extraordinary.
It felt like a warm embrace, a dish that nourishes not just the body, but the soul.
Nawab Indian Cuisine isn't just serving food; they're crafting experiences. From the bustling energy of the Aloo Tikki Chat to the profound depth of the Eggplant Bharta, every dish is a testament to their dedication to authentic flavors and meticulous preparation. The ambiance is inviting, the service attentive, but ultimately, it's the food that speaks volumes. If you're in Winston-Salem and seeking an unforgettable Indian culinary adventure, make Nawab your next destination. Just be prepared to have your expectations shattered and your taste buds utterly delighted.“

“I had such a pleasant experience for my first time as an adult here. We were immediately greeted, told about the history of the house and its original functionality and how it was evolved over time. The woman who greeted us gave us direction of how to walk through the two floors and where the baked goods, kitchen, and gift shop were located without me having to ask any questions. Additionally, she gave me one of the sweetest, most unique compliments I’ve ever received. I was so touched by her words that I forgot to ask her name but thank you so much- your words meant more to me than you know. :)“

“I was running errands, stopped here for the first time in my life to get a sandwich. I ordered the Italian sub without 1000 island dressing, (I've worked in and run restaurants for about 20 years, never heard of 1000 Island dressing on an Italian sub.), got home, sat down, and first bite had the collagen rind on the pepperoni. Said rind is supposed to be removed before slicing the meat, but not a big deal, I took the sub apart and peeled the rind off all of the pepperoni and finished the sub. Overall, the taste was good aside from the toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion, and banana peppers) being extremely unevenly placed. Service was okay, seemed as though two employees were more interested in each other rather than their Jobs, but from the body language I assume the male employee was a manager and the female employee was only a cashier. Felt as though the only professional employees were the two gentleman preparing the orders. Would not go out of my way to get food here again, but if I happen to be in the area again for some reason I may give it a second chance. Not great, not terrible.“
