“My family and I ate there tonight it was really good. My hamburger steak was cooked the way I asked. Our appetizers came out hot and in time for us to enjoy before our main course came out. The service was excellent and of course my biggest pet peeve was good she kept my drink cup full. Thanks you Shannon for a job well done.“

“We liked our visit, the staff were very friendly, but not really good. Had a nice selection of both wine and beer on tap. However, they never remembered the name on our tab or what we were drinking. They took a while to get your order and they looked genuinely surprised that you wanted to order a drink. They would let you stand at the bar take your glass and act as if getting another beer or glass of wine was something they were unaccustomed to. Each time you walked up to get another drink they would just look at you say hi and then stand around until you explicitly indicated you needed something. They would then forget your oder act like they couldn't find your name on the tab, (they do take and hold on to your card while you are there), and eventually get you a drink. Please dont take it the wrong way, they were super friendly and wanted to talk and take care of you its just they wanted to talk to each other more than getting you a drink. I would just hate to see them when they were busy. Please keep in mind we were the only customers they had. I will say they have excellent bathrooms, they were large, spacious and very clean. They also have a large covered patio area, large enough for 15-20 people to comfortably sit and hangout. They had plenty of seating inside and several tables with umbrellas and a fire pit outside. They have some hiking trails as well, we did not get to walk the trails due to rain.“
“Carolina Heritage has a great atmosphere, super friendly staff and a great selection of both wines and local beers. I’m not a fan of muscadine wine so the tasting wasn’t my favorite, but I did like a couple of them. I do highly recommend for those who enjoy Muscadine wines.“

“If I’m being honest this ice cream was the best I’ve had in my entire life. Such a good vibe outside with the seating too. I highly recommend the Graham Slam flavor. I’m not a huge dessert person but this ice cream just set the bar so high“

“20-minute wait but well worth it. The ribs were absolutely fall of the bone delicious. So large of a quantity that I brought back more than half to Maryland. The shrimp appetizer was okay, but I am from Maryland, and I found them very plain (not steamed but boiled) and served cold. The cocktail sauce that came with them was fire though. Certain bites would get your nose a burnin. The beers were good and cold and the service was excellent. The crab dip and popcorn shrimp was also reported by joining family members as good and plentiful. If I am ever back in Mount Airy, I will certainly be back. Thanks for a great time 13-Bones.“

Thank you for coordinating our lovely dinner, lunch and tour with your wine maker at Shelton Vineyards on September 10, 2026. The members of the Ocean Isle Beach AWS Chapter had nothing but praise for our wonderful experience, quality of the food and top-notch service provided by the dining room staff.
I am so happy that I choose your services for preparing the lunch we enjoyed at Surry College, and our wine paring dinner at the Harvest Grill. We all were impressed by the depth of your winery and the knowledge and passion of your wine maker in producing the excellent wines we all enjoyed. Please share our praise with your staff, and we look forward to returning for another visit.
