“This place is amazing. My daughter and husband got the gluten free maple, sprinkles and strawberry donuts. They have celiac and haven’t had a real good donut in a long time. They were so happy. I had the regular donut with chocolate peanut butter and it was wonderful. Whether you have a gluten allergy or not this is a great place. Owner was super nice and gave helpful GF suggestions for us on the island. Gift shop is cute too!“

“We have been getting Duck donuts here at the original store since 2011. Yesterday I went in to get our first order of the vacation week. We always vacation last week of August and it usually includes my son’s bday. He’ll be 17 on Saturday and heads off to college in a year. We told him we will pause OBX next summer since we don’t know exactly where he’ll go to college. I literally cried ordering my donuts yesterday to the owner and how much Duck OBX has met to our family memories for 13 years! Duck is all about traditions to us. Sunrise, sunsets, crabbing, and of course Duck Donuts! We have loved watching this business turn in to a national franchise. What a beautiful success story. 🍩 🍩🍩🍩“

“Ordered breakfast sandwiches, smoothie and donuts from Kill Devil Hills location today. Asked for ketchup for the sandwiches and they said they had none and do not plan on providing ketchup in the future. I am a local. May not come back if they do not provide ketchup. Large double storefront just opened here in KDH and plenty of room for inside tables but no tables. Hopefully these issues will be corrected so I can take my granddaughter to this store again.“

“Best donuts we have ever had! We went in the week after Dougie opened, arrived at 9:30 am and he was almost sold out….after only being open for 3 hours! We even stopped on our way home to grab a Dougie Dozen to take with us. If you’re in the area, you HAVE to getcha some. I just can’t say enough about these donuts and the awesome crew he has working there. AMAZING!!!!“
