“I honestly judge an Asian restaurant on its hot and sour soup. I am delighted to discover that Peony Asian Bistro's hot and sour soup may be the best I've EVER had--and that is saying something! It was just the right level of sour and spicy, and the fresh mushrooms floating on top were absolutely delicious. In addition, the consistency of the broth was perfect. Far too many restaurants make it so that the soup is more like gelatin than liquid--ugh. The portion sizes for lunch were very generous, and while the beef and broccoli I ordered was not as flavorful as the soup, it was still pretty good. Finally, the staff were very welcoming and helpful. When I realized I had left my wallet at home, they offered Apple Pay and I was able to have a truly delicious lunch. I am a very happy customer and will definitely visit often!“

“My favorite favorite place!!! I moved to New York and whenever I’m down in Durham I make sure to visit because I’m always craving their delicious food; portion sizes are great for the price too. Service is a bit slow, I wish they would hire more people. Either way, they can do me no wrong.“

“Great food and ambiance. Everything we had tastes great including the octopus Argula salad, the Kimchi onigiri, and the drunken noodles. Although it tasted great, the drunken noodles didn't taste like the classic drunken noodles and the portion sizes weren't the biggest. However, overall great experience. Will definitely be back.“

“Hands down the most amazing food! I recommend the spicy 🌶 pork belly ramen bowl and the garlic soy glazed KFC wings. The ramen bowl has wood ear mushrooms which adds the greatest texture and soft boiled eggs! The place is tiny but quaint so if you plan on going get there early and expect to wait in a line. The only part that saddens me is that it’s 4 hours from where I live!“

“Had the beef bulkogi and rice bowl with kimchi when they were at the state fair- didn’t eat it immediately till later and it was still bomb. Great portions for a fair price and service was great. Someone took my order and they had no problem helping me out. Will for sure be visiting the restaurant again soon!“

“I had a great experience at Corner Yaki. Greg took care of me and was genuinely helpful the entire time—friendly without being over the top, and really attentive. The food was cooked by Teo, and he absolutely knows what he’s doing. Everything came out hot, seasoned perfectly, and cooked exactly the way it should be.
