This place is awesome, the server Kay was so amazing and helped me, chatted with me. The tacos were out of this world and LOVE the sauce bar!!! I'm going back lol

Chubby's Tacos Durham is a welcoming spot with quick and kind staff. The queso is amazing, and the steak Taco bowl is a must-try. Vegetarian options are available by simply requesting no meat or cheese. While some dishes may arrive lukewarm, the delicious food makes up for it. With convenient parking options, including to-go parking, this local gem is worth a visit. The salsa bar is awesome, but it would be nice if there were some flavors like mango available instead of just degrees of heat. The tacos are good, but customers are sometimes given very little meat on the shrimp and fish tacos. The food has improved in recent years, with more affordable prices. Meals are served extremely fast, and there are plenty of seating options both inside and outside. Thirsty Thursday offers $2 beers, and the restaurant handles a high volume of to-go orders.
