“We dropped into Barefoot Sandwich Shoppe on a whim and are so glad we did. The variety on the menu is impressive—there’s something for everyone, whether you’re after a comforting classic or something a little more unique. Everything we ordered was packed with flavor and clearly made with fresh ingredients. We decided to get the cheese steak sandwich, hot dogs, grilled cheese, a veggie wrap and each had a side of their signature crispy fries! The food was so good, I didn’t even get a chance to snap a photo—I dove right in and couldn’t put my fork down. That alone says a lot. The staff was friendly, attentive, and created a genuinely welcoming vibe. The atmosphere was laid-back but inviting, making it a perfect spot to sit back and enjoy a great meal. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. This place is a gem!”

“Melvin’s is pure nostalgia. The best down home burgers & dogs spot in the whole of NC. If I could give them more than 5✨, it’d be over a thousand. No matter if you’re stopping in for a quick lunch, or wanting to buy 20 burgers with all the fixings, they don’t bat a single eyelash. If I ever get married again, I’m coming here to get the burgers for the reception. It’s that good! I crave it.”

“We come here almost every Friday night and the food is always spot on, but we found a new fav waiter — Edwin. He goes above and beyond for the people he’s serving and makes the best spicy guac. So so kind!!!!!”

“Had a late lunch today , the food was delicious and the service was exemplary ! Candice Carroll went way about and beyond , one of the absolute best wait staff servers I’ve ever experienced. She always had a smile on her face, and checked on us often. Giorgio’s is very blessed to have this young lady on their staff. I’m be asking for her area from now on .”

“Our party VERY MUCH enjoyed a variety of items including onion petal appetizer, grilled salmon, ribeye and sirloin steaks. The rolls were hot and very soft, the side and Caesar salads were fresh, the loaded baked potatoes were huge, and EVERYTHING was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The server was very attentive and friendly. We hope to return again when we’re in the area.”

“Had a lovely lunch with my family today. The food was great and fairly priced. The gift shop next door is really near and the mini zoo with the kangaroo, chickens, mini horses, Llama and donkeys was REALLY neat. Enjoyed having a place as well to walk around down to the lake after eating. The whole area is a lovely lunch adventure. Already making plans to come back. The Peacock as well was a welcoming host!”

“I didn't realize this was a chain when I stopped in for a snack during my quest to visit all 100 counties.

They were a bit busy but it didn't take too long to get my snacks to go. I didn't try the ice cream or hot food but looked like some good options.

Cute downtown and lots of seating in the common area. Prices were good and the cookie sandwich was very nice. The peanut butter brownie I had later was also pretty solid, although DENSE, definitely one to share!”
