“We were visiting from out of town recently and on our last full day of vacay we drove to Fletcher Village Bakery and Cafe for coffee and bkfst. The food, service, and friendliness and professionalism of the staff were beyond compare. It was the BEST egg sandwich I have ever eaten in my life. Come on, you say. It's just an egg sandwich! What's the big deal?!? But I can tell you it was hands down the best ever. Fresh, hot and delicious. The gods live in the details, and this place has nailed it.“

“The food and service were fantastic! However, the reason I will return every time I visit Asheville is not actually food related. The owners fed their employees and their families the entire time they were shut down for Covid. The owner’s husband is involved in many global humanitarian projects. While I was reading the Cantina’s historical wall display, the researcher responsible for the wall came and spent about 20 minutes chatting with me about the area’s history. I was moved by life work of the people associated with the restaurant and will return in support of goodness in the world.“

“Food was excellent. I have never heard of a non-profit restaurant. What a great idea. They were very busy for lunch after eating there I can see why. They have a thrift store next door that also benefits their cause. We walked over there after we ate and bought a few things.“

“The food was good but some of it was overly spicy - and I like some spice. The service was fine. The server forgot to bring sweetener for my tea. My main issue is that even though some of the restaurant was renovated, some areas still look worn.“

“Chef Michael catered our daughter's wedding and we could not have been more pleased. The food and service was wonderful. We received many compliments and most importantly, as mother of the bride, I did not have to worry about a thing during the entire event. They simply made everything happen beautifully. The good folks at Sips & Sweets educated me and set me up with my first one! I loved it! This store has all kinds of fun trinkets, stickers, clothes, and stuffed items. “Our lunch was delicious! The restaurant and city are recovering from the hurricane, so the menu was limited, but very tasty! We had delicious salad, sweet potato fries, the soup of the day, and a BLT wrap with slaw. The salad and fries were our favorites. Great gluten free options, and a nice cafe location with patio.
