“We got a small stromboli and a stuffed shells entree. Everything extremely fresh. We were told 35 minute wait for togo orders. It was perfect timing. Stromboli had lots of cheese and was very flavorful. The marana had a little bit too much oregano for my taste and the stromboli itself was a little greasy. Hubby's stuffed shells were perfect and the bread was fresh warm and tender. That is hard to accomplish when it's warm bread togo. Wishing yall the best for the future. We will be back. Customer service seems to be a dying art. Hubby was treated very well and the lady who took my order was very nice and informative. Thank you very much.”

“Such a great local place with good comfort foods. Great staff and its in a nice little town. We retired in this area a few years ago and the Penny has been one of our regular places.”

“🙂 I absolutely love this restaurant and the staff. It’s been under new management and they are doing an amazing job. The food is phenomenal. I haven’t tried anything I haven’t liked yet and the staff are always genuine and friendly. Definitely check out their night life vibe on karaoke nights on Tuesday and Friday nights. It’s always a fun crowd, no matter who shows up. Come with the intention to let loose and connect. It’s always worth it to put your authentic self forward and connect with the locals. Show up and bring/tell your friends. I promise you won’t be disappointed”

“This place is awesome. Food is always good and hot. Service could be a little faster but I know not to go here if I’m in a hurry. But food has always been top notch. Never had to wait for a seat more than 5 mins. Pricing I think is pretty fair. Highly recommend giving this place a shot.”

“Absolutely amazing community coffee house. The baristas are friendly and courteous, and make amazing coffee and tea drinks. Carl, in particular, is very compassionate and kind. I go to Hope House often and a friend got sick out in the parking lot. Carl was quick to help and make sure we were okay. 100% recommend!”

“The donuts were absolutely delicious!! It is drive-thru only, so there isn’t really an “atmosphere” per se. By the time we got there, around 10, and they were out of several donuts. My suggestion is get there as soon as they open for the best selection. The kid running the drive-thru was less than enthusiastic. Next time I’m in Forest City I will give them another try.”

“It has taken me hours to realize what happened. That young manager got it in her mind that I was trying to steal an extra sandwich. She apparently did not believe that they had failed to prepare the sandwich correctly. That's the only thing that would possibly cause her to come out to my table and immediately begin to be rude to me in my 11-year-old grandson. Read the comment that I also posted.”

“I’m usually very, very skeptical of eating at Chinese buffets. This one though has always been good. We usually order takeout, and the order is always right. Went in for the first time tonight and was very impressed how clean it was.”

“Food is always hot and fresh. The sauces are not overly sweet and not overly salty. Everything always seems cooked to order. The building appearance is not great but the food is great and employees are friendly. Expect to move car to the side after ordering and needing to wait on order to be brought to your car. As I mentioned it's cooked to order, and worth the wait. You can eat inside but the building is aging and atmosphere is lacking a bit of its gleem.”

“Nice kid at the window today 6/25/24 at 2:14pm He looked so dressed for success. Not exactly sure of his name however the employee says OT. Honestly he has this look on his face like why I am even working in fast food. It sucks for kids these days. We have so many fast foods place and training and retaining is so hard with all the options that they offer. It’s everywhere. Too many menu options and it makes it hard to get them right. Fries were great. Haven’t had them in forever. Homeless man maybe walked in lot. It must suck seeing them everywhere and it just keeps getting worse. Oh welll we can only do so much. Oh and he the young kid looked like he would be great in an office job. I bet he would like working office work in my company. He gave me a perfect amount of napkins 4 and 4 Arby’s sauces. Thank you.”

“Just wanted to say the staff was very helpful, and our order was made correctly and perfectly. The young gentleman at the register was extremely nice and even accommodated us with 2 free 20 oz sodas because their fountain machine wasn't working properly. Thank you for being so thoughtful and kind.”

“I had a bit of an issue with my order at Chick-fil-A yesterday, but I want to share how wonderfully it was handled. I called the customer care line to get it corrected, but when I went to the restaurant the next morning, they still hadn’t received the report, and I hadn’t gotten an email confirmation yet. Despite this, the manager Maggie and an employee named David went above and beyond to assist me. They were professional, kind, and quick to ensure my meals were corrected. Their excellent service turned the situation around, and I left completely satisfied. Thank you to the team for showing why Chick-fil-A is known for its amazing customer service!”

“Everything here is always delicious and the manager is very attentive and thoughtful. Also the waiters are always kind and attentive. The only complaint is that it is always so cold inside, a jacket or cover up is recommended.”
