I took my bff out for his 50th birthday because we’re far away from family so we decided to go out and try this local eatery. Coming from California this place did not disappoint when it came to authentic Mexican food flavors. Everything that I ate in which we ordered multiple things to try, was so delicious I was dancing while I ate 😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️. Leftovers was absolutely great to have as portions were perfect. The menu is huge, featuring many items in Spanish with English ingredient listings, and the wait staff is happy to answer questions. Gusgueras specializes in seafood, offering options like pulpo (octopus) and red snapper, but also provides a wide array of other choices, including tacos, burritos, and ACPs. For those seeking a unique experience, the Torta Cubana is a notable, overstuffed sandwich.
Customers describe the food as very savory, delicious, and amazing, with excellent presentation. The atmosphere is calm, enjoyable, and peaceful. The service is consistently praised as fast, sweet, attentive, polite, and professional. One reviewer highlighted a fajita as excellent and more than enough for two. Another enjoyed a tostada al chipotle with squid and a molcajete. Portions are considered perfect, with leftovers being great.
While generally highly recommended for high-quality Hispanic food, some reviewers noted that certain items can be pricy, and a large group tip or a service charge may be automatically added. Despite a saturated market for Mexican eateries, Gusgueras is noted for the kindness of its staff and the sheer scope of its menu, making it worth a visit.
