“Favorite Lunch/Dinner Spot“

“My new favorite place is Mezcal Mexican restaurant. The Poblano chili is a very authentic dip in batter and the cheese with the tomato sauce is delicious. The rice and beans add some depth to the dish. The salsa verde and rojo are excellent condiments. Can’t wait to try a margarita next time. I tried a Mexican shrimp taco, best one I have ever had.“

“This place is hoppin'! It's easy to see why once you eat there. The food is excellent! And it's not the same-ol-same-ol. They have created many innovative menu options and have specials daily that are not run of the mill. The barria quesadilla has ruined barria for me elsewhere, it's that good! Excellent breakfast options from very traditional waffles, eggs, etc to more creative dishes. Must try!“

“First impression as you walk in, or look at images of the menu: AUTHENTIC! First impressions when you bite into your food: They nailed the first impression! I had the lingua, tripa, pez, and Pastor tacos. My family had the California burrito, chicken and beef tacos, and the Enchiladas Mexicanos with mole and salsa verde. We also added a side of guac and chips. Guac: thin mixed avocado and perfectly sized chunks mixed in with the tomato and seasonings. An absolute must! The 4 tacos I ate were succulent to say the least. The tripa was thin and crispy, but you could taste the rendered fat in them. It had the texture of perfectly cooked bacon. Al pastor is one of my favorites and this one did not disappoint. Then there was the pez taco that was just the right amount of crispy without being an iota overcooked. At last I ate the lingua taco. It melted in my mouth and I immediately wanted another. I don’t even like mole sauce, but I couldn’t stop eating the mole enchilada. Aces, hands down. The California burrito was phenomenal and had the perfect amount of each ingredient and a delectable amount of heat and sweet cream sauce. The chicken was obviously hand shredded and had equal amounts of larger chunks of meat and thin pulled pieces to soak up all the flavor in endless nooks and crannies. If you have not been here please do your palate a flavor and stop in. The value far exceeded the price of our meals and we plan on coming here every year when the World Ninja finals come to town.“

“Great place to eat. However corn chips are gluten free but there is “no” separate gf fryer. They are fried in the same fryer as other wheat tortillas. I specifically asked for clarification as my first time I was told they did have a gluten free fryer. This time I got 2 different response form 2 different waiters. So I had them go speak with cooking staff.

I order a steak and shrimp fajita. Informed staff of my allergy and had a great experience overall.“

“Came here today for a quick lunch. Fast service! Food was amazing! Fresh and full of flavor. I had the fiesta burrito and my boyfriend had the quesabirria. Maria V was our server and she was amazing. Very sweet and she made me the best margarita flights! Will definitely be back.“

“I've eaten here twice today, I finally stopped in this morning on my way to work, then came back with the family for a late lunch early dinner.

Food was excellent in both cases, prices were shockingly low for the quality and how much I liked everything.

Did tacos and a gordita this morning, did a cheese steak for lunch/dinner.

Generally, you might guess that a place that serves both tacos and burgers/subs might be good at one but not the other, not here, they're just good at doing everything, apparently.

That must be why they're the super-ama, and not the alright-ama.“

“We had dinner at Casa Vallarta tonight and everything was delicious. The food came out quickly, the service was great, and it was just an easy, enjoyable meal.

We almost never order dessert when we go out, but we tried the banana chimichanga afterward and it was fantastic. Definitely glad we saved room for it.

Coming from California this place did not disappoint when it came to authentic Mexican food flavors. “Food is always great, which is why I’m still leaving 5 stars. However, I was surprised to see I was charged $3.90 just for extra cilantro and onions — at that point, I could’ve almost bought another taco.

There was also a previous time I was called back because I was accidentally only charged for one order of steak tacos instead of two.

Overall, the food is consistently good, but I’ll definitely avoid adding extras or paying over the phone in the future.“

“We picked up some quesabirria tacos last night after a show nearby. They were absolutely delicious and the lady working was so nice. I wish they could open a restaurant. We'll definitely be trying more of the menu.“

“My recent visit to La bamba was a mixed experience. While the service was excellent—attentive and friendly from start to finish—the food unfortunately fell short of expectations.

I ordered the steak tacos with a side of rice. The most significant issue was the complete lack of flavor. Both the meat and the rice tasted unseasoned, as if no salt or pepper had been used. The meal was simply bland and lacked any depth.

The salsa was equally disappointing. It seemed to consist of nothing more than blended tomato and onion, missing the key spices and herbs that give salsa its vibrant flavor. It was just as bland as the main dish.

Ultimately, while the great service was a positive note, the quality of the food was a dealbreaker for me. Based on this experience, I don't see myself returning in the future.“

“Walked in to place a togo order. The staff was attentive. Asked me if I wanted the lunch or dinner ACP portion. Thought that was very nice. Placed my order and it didn’t take long at all. As you can see by the photos it was a lot of food and it didn’t disappoint.“
