The diverse menu offers over 30 cake options, pies, quiche, cookies, and more, including vegan and gluten-free choices. Customers can enjoy small cups of free ice water from a self-serve tap. The restaurant's seating area features a children's nook and a jigsaw puzzle, making it very kid-friendly. Despite the busy crowds, the service remains fast and friendly, and customers can enjoy their desserts indoors or outdoors. The prices are reasonable, with slices of cake around $8 and cupcakes around $4. Customers especially love the German chocolate and chocolate cakes for their incredible moistness. The fresh apple cake with caramel icing is also a favorite, along with the new pumpkin bar, which has changed many people's views on pumpkin desserts. Regulars appreciate the new rewards program that encourages reusing containers. Maxie B's has a history of over 14 years and is a beloved spot for delicious desserts, including the popular Brown Stone Front cake, and a welcoming atmosphere. There is a pro tip that customers can ask for their favorite treats from the back if they don't see them in the display case, ensuring that they always have everything available.
