“This restaurant is the best Mexican food I have eaten in eastern NC. I moved and still have yet to find a place with as good of food and as friendly of servers as La Patrona. The margaritas are always deliciously strong and the food is decently priced for the portions you get. We were there every week when we lived there. The food always came really quick no matter how busy they were. I miss it so much!“

“The food, service, and price are great and they have a different menu compared to the other restaurants in the area if you're looking to mix it up. We should probably broaden our horizons and try other things on the menu, but we are stuck on the papusas and stuffed jalapeñosfor now.“

“First time there, went with my wife and 2 good friends from out of state and we Loved the food. The server was great and helpful. The food we ordered came fast and tasted very fresh. This was our first but will go back again. 100% Recommended.“

“The lady with the teal hair who took my order today was very kind and showed fantastic customer service. The line was a little slow, but it was lunch rush so just expect that. I got a chicken quesadilla and root beer and a cheesy roll up for my son. Everything was warm and perfectly proportioned. I've been to taco bells where they either skimp or put too much and your food spills all over the place. Definitely a well ran taco bell from what I've experienced.“

“Great for a Taco Bell to be honest… I’d recommend here at more towards morning or evening as lunch has one heck of a wait most days.. most visits have great customer service! Hard to find at most fast food joints. There are some staff members who aren’t as outgoing but definitely an improvement from most places in this area. 9/10 times no mess ups on orders too!!“

“There are a lot of great Mexican restaurants in the area, but this one is the best I’ve ever been to! Food is phenomenal with big portions. Chips and salsa are delicious and plentiful! Food served quickly, even when it’s crowded. My favorite is the Hawaiian Fajitas - out of this world!!
The service is fantastic. The decor is handcrafted, amazing and very interesting. Overall, I just can’t recommend this place highly enough!“

“This place is actually authentic. The papusas are great! They make the tortillas fresh. The chicken in the tacos was super overcooked, but it could have just been a one time thing. It was good food. They have all you can eat tacos on Tuesday. I told the waitress that is what I wanted, then she charged me individually for the tacos when we got the receipt. 🤷🏻♀“

“Came to Newbern from Greenvill and then found this gem on maps and drove a couple of miles away from Newbern to try it. I have to say it has been a long time since I came across a good Mexican/Hispanic restaurant. The food, the service all of it was top notch. Really enjoyed the food, every dish tasted unique and flavorful. Consider me a fan and will be visiting again soon“
