We really enjoyed her great customer service in answering all of our questions and personalizing the at-home tasting experience for us. We had so many questions about how to design the cakes and display them for our wedding guests and Kim did a great job giving us recommendations and guiding us throught he process. The day of delivery was seamless and we felt prepared for the big day, not having to worry about the cake. All of our guests were very pleased with the original cake flavors and declious baking. We are happy to have some leftovers to enjoy ourselves and can't wait to get birthday cakes and pies for birthday celebrations and holidays to come. Thank you Kim for making our day extra sweet!”

“Recently visited the newly reopened House at Gatewood and couldn’t have been more pleased. Love the atmosphere, but the food was amazing! We had a good mix of things and everything was on point. Peel & eat shrimp, pimento cheese dip, burgers, salmon. Definitely adding them to our restaurant rotation for dinner! Thanks Ron, you’re the best!”

This is Madison Gates. I have been a member of the town since the late 90s.

I enjoy bars, and I love beer, as do my friends. The Rookery is just okay. I really wish they hadn't stopped the Karaoke part. The owners are a little disconnected with what the town needs or wants in this building. It has nothing to do with their background; they have a nice restaurant down the street.

You can't decorate a bar like the way it is and have no parking for your business. I am always scared I am going to get towed.

As a person with tons of friends, there is no reason at all not to offer food. At least offer chicken wings, nachos, something.

I always see the burrito restaurant down the street, and sometimes a food truck outside. Maybe do a connection with them.

The drinks are way too expensive; Hillsborough people cannot afford this place, which is why this place is suffering.

It is way too dark for a bar, and if you are going to make it a bar, add pool tables, add TVs with stuff people want to watch, and maybe add country music from modern times, not music that most don't know.

Whoever is running this business, please come to your senses and read this. The last few times I went there were hardly any people there.

One of the few associates there made my experience the best I have ever had. He is the one with the amazing singing voice and who used to do Karaoke and made me a cool, bright orange drink.

I hope the owners realize they need to come to terms if they don't fix this bar, they will lose it, unless that's what they want.”

“The Village Diner is our "go to" place for food that is fresh, homemade and delicious. We have frequented this restaurant for over 5 years and have never been disappointed. The diner is located in a quiet part of town and provides ample and accessible parking. There is an attractive front porch for outdoor seating and inside seating that is cozy, warm and friendly. If you're looking for place to eat with that "southern diner feel", we highly recommend it for breakfast and lunch. You won't be disappointed.”

“GREAT Middle Eastern food and family run place. There are a few no frills tables inside so we usually do takeout. I wish they’d put a few umbrella tables outside for pet lovers but we come for the food and delicious cake slices.”

The only things that I did not like was that they do not have string beans like many of the other chains and I was unpleasantly surprised that the white sausage gravy that goes on biscuits is used as the gravy for the mashed potatoes instead of brown gravy?! “This particular Waffle House is in a truck stop, it isn't too bad as far as that, they have all of the usual waffle house menu items and a few new ones that I hadn't seen before overall the food was good usual Waffle House fare. Over eggs medium were quite medium.
But the French toast, sausage and bacon was all pretty good. I think really the only complaint would be that every time we order biscuits and gravy they always come out cold, my daughters came out cold just like usual she just toughed it out and ate them as they were, service was very good very nice people and the food was very prompt as for cleanliness I would give it a B- only because the syrup was sticky as heck”

I get the all beef combo German style with sauerkraut mustard and relish. Worth the money for a quick decadent lunch. Fries are always crispy enough.

“I've been coming to highway for years the owner Jeremy has made it correct it very quickly and I'm tired of people coming on here and bad-mouthing highway 55 if they don't want quality food they need to go to McDonald's they quit trying to get stuff for free because they're broke like kay shelton has tried to get free stuff from here many times complaining about things better not even worried about complaining about and wanting free food and even the food that was given to her for free when she came in and complained that she complained about that I did not want to pay for it she just broke and trying to cause problems again that is Kay Shelton talking garbage on a place she can no longer get free food”
