“I have had Small Cakes full and mini sized cupcakes from both the Durham and Huntersville locations on a few occasions. The mini's are my favorite because I like to sample a few different flavors with less guilt than eating like a dozen full sized cupcakes LOL! The flavors are all yummy and the icing is always dee-lish-ousssss. Recently, I ordered a different delicious item- the sugar cookies! My order of two dozen custom cookies was a beautiful addition for my daughter's baby shower. I ordered from the Huntersville location. The process was swift and professional. I spoke with the bakery owner personally about my vision. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted, but she was patient and resourceful enough to offer an array of options. After a few inspirational pictures and a quick online ordering process I was good to go. On the day of pick up, the Huntersville location baker called to remind me about the order. He was not there when I came to collect the goodies, but an energetic associate working the register greeted me with a smile. I was super excited to see the final product and so were our guests. The cookies were all the rave at the baby shower. We chose a vintage Winnie the Pooh Bear Tea Party theme so the cookies were a perfect treat. The individual wrapping made decor and distribution very easy. Most importantly, the cookies were delicious. The combination of tastes in the icing and the actual cookie was spot on. Sweet, but subtle. Guests were slow to devour the whole cookie but only because they were admiring the culinary craftsmanship of each small treat. We ate them slowly while sipping tea. It was reminiscent of scenes in a classic Pooh and Christopher Robbins book for sure lol. The cookies were not just a good treat, but helped create a great vibe. “I got a gluten free cheesecake for my sibling’s birthday - they are highly allergic to gluten. Not only was the customer service great, but the cake was friken AMAZING! We both have kind of resolved to the fact that gluten free desserts will never as good as the “real thing”. Y’all. This cheesecake was literally SO DELICIOUS, we were sure it couldn’t possibly be gluten free. But, it didn’t make them sick and now we can’t stop talking about the most delicious cheesecake we have ever eaten. HIGHLY recommend. Love supporting local!“

“IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY! I ordered the chocolate dipped rice Krispy treats and Oreos. We were throwing a birthday party for my bestfriend. Literally, both boxes were empty in less than a minute! Everyone enjoyed the treats. They were DELICIOUS and designed BEAUTIFULLY! I drove from Greensboro to Charlotte just for these and I would do it again.“

“I am so glad that I found Sweetheart Bakery to make the desserts for a baby shower this past weekend! I met with Carol who sat with me to figure out exactly what I needed, and she even cautioned me that I was over ordering some items! I ended up with 2 varieties of cupcakes, dipped oreos, cake pops and rice Krispy treats for approximately 30 guests. The colors were perfect and the desserts were amazing! The price was more reasonable than anyone else and the taste and presentation were perfect! Support local, this bakery is top notch!!!“
“We occasionally will drop by and pick up bundtletts. Service has always been friendly and fast. I've given feedback before, but just wish they'd eliminate the artificial dyes in the baking. We avoid them, and are very limited on which ones don't have that. The couple we stick with are good for a sweet treat!“
