“"There is a divinity that shapes our ends, rough fray them as we may..." Wm. Shakespeare Divinity must certainly have been in play when I happened upon this amazing spot. The odds against me being there were long... I had just escaped from the Southern Christmas Show, had to walk as wife chose to stay and spend more money. I was headed to Lupie's for some sanity and good food (walk was longer than I remembered). To say I was disappointed when I found Lupie's closed (on Sundays) is an understatement to stay the least. Thought about breaking in, but reason got the best of me. Because I had walked, I knew I was limited to what I might find, but my hope in Karma was renewed when I looked across the street and saw something called "Tipsy Burro"...and they were open. I would have settled for a seven eleven at this point, but I was intrigued by the unique look of this place. My best hopes (and beliefs in divinity) were confirmed when I walked into this cheery looking place and was cheerily welcomed by the bartender...Keely was her name I later discovered. Before I could even order, I was dumbfounded by the music I was hearing...the best classic "authentic" Texas tunes one after another. I should disclose here that I am a bigot when it comes to my love of Texas country music, and there juke box had 'em all. To name a few... Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt, Chris Knight, Robert Earl Keen, Hayes Carll, Ray Wyllie Hubbard, Stergil Simpson, etc. etc. etc. (and again, "thank you Jesus". Oh, I guess I should mention the food. By the time I was ready to eat, the rest of my family had left the Christmas show and showed up to join me for lunch. I would have settled for anything to hear that music, but fortunately the food was as good as the music. Authentic Tex/Mex in big portions. My whole family was happy happy. My young grand daughter loved it and was treated respectfully and gently, as all kids present were. Also have to mention that I could buy 4 beers here for what it cost for 1 at the Southern Christmas Show (Actual fact, not an exaggeration). I guess you figured by now that I will be back. I am the guy hunkered down over the jukebox pushing buttons. "May the road go on forever and the party never end." Guy Clark“

“Went with a party of 8. I ordered basic ground beef tacos - the meat was very dry and unseasoned, but the shell and rice and beans were good. Everyone else seemed to love their food. The chips for salsa were SO good, but we never got refills on salsas. Guacamole was excellent but the oil on the chips was a turn off. Drinks were tasty. Food and drinks were pretty slow to come out.“

“Food and drinks were so amazing , our waiter was extra nice obviously for a tip perfect nothing wrong with that, problems came when it came to paying time our total was $43 and my husband paid with a $100 and we only got back $37 (short $20) and the waiter tried to run to the bathroom after taking off his apron quick (@6 must have been his clock out time) but my husband caught up to him and asked him about the missing $20 the waiter proceeded to pull the $20 OUT OF HIS POCKET and said he “accidentally took an extra $20” plus we never got a receipt so just be sure to check your change ?? again Food and Drinks were great ??“

“6 co-workers decided to visit here for LUNCH !! Unbeknownst to any of us, they automatically add 25% tip to bill for "parties" of 6 or more, FOR LUNCH ??...not that we wouldn't have left a tip anyway, just didn't like the fact that we were told how much to leave.....WELL, we left and crossed this place off of our list !!“

“Food was absolutely delicious! The restaurant is nice , clean and service was great ! Definitely recommend!“
“Absolute terrible customer service at the food truck. No signs with form of payment however went to pay for food and demanded either cash or a “tap to pay card”. Had a debit & credit card but claimed the machine was tap only. When asked if there was a sign stating either cash or tap card only, was told no he doesn’t have to have a sign posted…. No good for business in the least bit. Never would have ordered if you had a sign posted!!!!“

“this place consistently improves itself as time goes on. it has become our go to resteraunt. I don't know how they make it work with the small kitchen, but they do. the food is authentic. you can tell the owner puts love into their labor. the waitstaff is excellent. the atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. the area really needed this place. sure, there are other Mexican resteraunts in the area that are pretty good as well. but this one just feels special. keep up the good work guys.“
