“We picked Appalachia at The Lodge (on Lake Lure NC) for two reasons. The Thanksgiving Prix Fixe menu had great choices for those of us who are not required to have turkey. And, we could book a room there after dinner and just enjoy a nice evening. We had the salmon and pork tenderloin dinners, both of us also selected the lobster bisque for appetizer and the homemade chocolate ice cream for desert. The food was bountiful and delicious. Our server was great and deserved the greater than 20% gratuity that we chose to include. We will come back for dinner in the spring and summer when we can enjoy the outside deck on Lake Lure.”

“My wife and I came to Victory Kitchen for breakfast on our 43rd anniversary.I spent a few days on google searching for a special place for us to spend our morning over a meal.To say we were pleased is an understatement.The service was great, the atmosphere was great and the food was awesome.Will definitely return.”

“Excellent food. Can't be overstated. Best food in town. Nice decor. Kids loved the steak. Pizza is fresh, hot and crisp. Full bar. I had grilled mahi. Delish. Homemade kettle chips are amazeballs. All the restaurants are on mountain time so be patient. It's hard to find good help in the hills. I hope it is open for many years to come. Can't wait to go back.”

“How cool to have a Starbucks on property! My kids love the coffee and latte options but my fav is the Strawberry Acai Refresher. You can also grab a breakfast bagel, chicken salad sandwich or other snacks. The baristas are amazing and it is a great place to get some work done with the high speed wifi.”

“My husband and I visited the Lake Lure Inn & Spa and the Veranda for brunch during our honeymoon and it was absolutely wonderful! We enjoyed their brunch buffet that offered an array of choices, including made-to-order omelets, french toast, biscuits and gravy, a salad bar, and so many other choices. There was I plenty of coffee, freshly brewed, and we had a gorgeous view of Lake Lure and the surrounding mountains. We had the most incredible time and we will most definitely be coming back!”

“The Moose & Goose was a delightful spot to stop and get a bite to eat and drink. The presence of smiling locals was great. The food choices were limited but covered a range of tastes. The service was perfect. Megan knew her beer choices and offered some local choices that were right on point. If we lived in the area we would be back often.”

Brianna and Mrs. Suzie with their sweet selfs, helped me guide thru the whole coffee experience with me being a new coffee drinker. Brianna and Mrs. Suzie knows their customers very well and is able to guide you thru the best coffee experience you could ever imagine. I will definitely be back solely because of them, they truly are the definition of customer service.”

“I live here. They cannot get help. No one wants to work. You can’t get good service if you can’t get help. It’s a nationwide problem since Covid. If they had help you would love Legends. Spray the patio if there are roaches. It literally rained all summer this year. That brings roaches. They won’t hurt you.”

“We ate at relish while visiting the winery which the truck is parked. We just grabbed a few items as snacks but very much enjoyed the food. The items came quick and the service was very pleasant.

The wonton tacos would be worth going back for by themselves.

“This is where you feel like you're so far away from the rest of the fast paced world. You walk in and you are immediately greeted with a wonderful "Howdy" and treated like you are the next "Super Star" to walk inside this miniature Super Store! With more home-work & equipment supplies that you can imagine, there are lots and lots of every day supplies not to mention, wall coolers that are stock filled with more varieties of drinks and so much food and snacks to select trom too.I think the biggest thrill was to try "Champs Chicken." An integrated full service kitchen and seating restaurant inside Marathon Station! Make sure you go before 3:00 PM as closing time for Champs is right then! Their homemade bone-in fried chicken tastes marinated and has a delicious fried crust; very flavorful and worth the try I think. I know that I will be back again to this Champs Chicken and Marathon Station at91 NC-Rt 9, Mill Spring, North Carolina 28756. What a great experience.”

“Our family had the best time at Highland Kitchen and Bar! We brought the dogs and relaxed on the deck with the best view! I had the signature cocktail Hibuscus it was beautiful and delicious. The appetizer were perfect green tomoayoes, calamari, porch nachos. The best was the mahi wrap and key lime pie. Visit this gem!”
