Loved the food and service. Price is a little high but still affordable. The “animals” decor might be something normal around here but I felt sad seeing animals that are now probably going endangered due to this practice. Remove the animals and you find yourself a very cozy and elegant place - with lots of wood and leather.
I do recommend though and would come back. If you are coming on the weekend, make a reservation as it does get packed.

If you're looking for a great view, pleasant but inattentive service, and mediocre food then this is your spot.
We went because of the high star rating and the menu reads like it's top notch.
The view of the lake is great though...

Fantastic find on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
Mimosa and Bloody Mary started off a great lunch. Station burger tasted like fresh meat, so flavorful and not over dressed. The fried green tomatoes had a light batter, the remolade was delish.
The lake view across the road was so pretty and our server Chasiti could not have been more delightful.
Great find!

Came in here with my buddies after camping a few days in the trail and chose this spot for our first real meal. The atmosphere is immersive and there are so many interesting things to see on the walls. The Shrimp & Grits is phenomenal! The service is also amazing. If you just left your camp or finished a long hike, I would highly recommend this spot. Will be coming back again!

We stopped in on Sunday for a late lunch. We were quickly sat as a family of 11. The host/manager/ owner was great, informing us if things to do around the area and places to stay. Our server, Chasity was very attentive, patient, and great at her job. Coincidentally, all of the adults ordered burgers. They were absolutely delicious(station burger and the mushroom Swiss). We also tried the crab cakes, fries, wedge salads, and the kids got chicken tenders, grilled cheese, and Mac and cheese. The kids ate all of their food which is rare. They also had a nice outdoor area for the kids and seating out there. We did try a few drinks which were all 10/10. Espresso martini, old fashion, bourbon barrel aged beer. We also couldn’t resist the dessert, a bread pudding special, it was to die for.
Overall the food, atmosphere, and staff were all great. The views were beautiful, the bathrooms were updated and clean. (big deal for us)
Lastly, the pricing was not bad at all. We will definitely be back if we are near the area.

A total hidden gem by Lake Toxaway. The food quality rivals high-end Charlotte dining but with a much better atmosphere. Super friendly staff who handled our group perfectly. Between the cozy decor and the incredible food, it’s a 10/10. Definitely worth the stop if you're in the area.

Decent menu selection with a range of price points, so, you can decide to eat at a reasonable price or spurge. Waitresses are attentive but not overly so. Great outdoor area in season. Reservations recommended.

Visiting this place is an incredible experience to connect with nature and local history. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by walls filled with vintage photos and detailed descriptions of how this building began as the Toxaway Railroad Depot in 1903, serving distinguished guests like Henry Ford and the Vanderbilts. It’s fascinating to learn about the Great Flood of 1916 and how the building was reborn as McNeely’s General Store in 1949, before becoming the restaurant it is today.
