“We have ordered the Chinese food many times and the quality is consistent and tasty! We tried the sushi once and I just can’t recommend it. While not expensive, it was a little too basic and bland, no sauces, tempura, or extras. Harris Teeter’s is better.“
“Tried this on a whim as the place we wanted in plaza has gone takeout only…. I am blown away by the amazing food and staff. This is the best spice I’ve had in a long time. If you hate heat like my wife, they will accommodate you, but if you want a dish as spicy as it’s supposed to be and not just dump more peppers in, this is your place.“
“This place is absolutely phenomenal. Honestly some of the best service I have experienced in a long time. Kelly was our waitress, shout out to her! The chicken pad thai was fantastic and the shrimp dumplings were also incredible! Will absolutely be back!“
“One of the best all around Thai restaurants I have ever been to. The food tastes like you were sitting in a Bangkok restaurant. The Mango sticky rice was the best I've ever has anywhere. The presentation of each dish was quite amazing as was the flavor and atmosphere. I will return soon and highly recommend Deejai Thai for everyone.“
“Food is delicious and comes out fast. Service is rushed but they are busy and have only two waitstaff. I've been here 5+ times and will be back. (I'm fair with my star ratings and only give 5 when I am truly impressed with food, service, and ambiance.)“
“My favorite Thai place in Charlotte. The pick-up orders are always prompt, and the food is delicious! The atmosphere and service at the restaurant are great too.I would recommend any of their curries, and I loved the edamame appetizer with chili seasoning.“
“We decided to go to Bahn Thai because we were in the area for some appointments. We walked in and were immediately greeted, we had the choice of where we wanted to sit, and they even have an outdoor area...which in hindsight we wish we would e utilized. The ambiance is great, they have a bar as well which we like. I ordered the Cherry Blossom roll and Spring Rolls for an appetizer. Both were delicious! I then ordered the Red Curry 3 star, the perfect heat for me and the flavors were perfect, My partner ordered the Pad Thai, and it looked delicious as well, he wouldn't share lol. Overall we will be back. Oh and the staff were very friendly and attentive.“
“What an excellent decision! We enjoyed a delightful date night at this place with a group of 14. Our server handled our large party with ease and made no errors. The staff coordinated seamlessly, ensuring prompt service with piping hot and fresh dishes. The Thai tea was exceptionally deliciou!!!“
“My daughter and I had a wonderful meal. I hadn't had Thai food in quite a while, and since I am heading to Thailand for 3 months, I thought I should try some. The service was perfect, and they shared some information about what to expect in Thailand for my stay.“
“The only place in Charlotte where you can get two entrees for $23 and it's great Thai food! This tiny, take out only, family business will quickly become your weekly go-to option when you don't feel like cooking or want to relax after a long weekend. Don't be surprised if the phone rings and rings before it's answered, it's a popular place. Finally, they don't offer dine-in and you have to pick it up yourself. They make great takeout Thai at a reasonable price. Go somewhere else if you're looking for something other than that!“
“Wow! Was about to go to chik fila but then saw this place and couldn't believe they had pad see ew so I had to try it. I was a bit nervous but man it's actually so good! It's definitely a bit pricey ($15) but the portions are a decent size (even though it looks small from the pic, a lot fits in the container). Definitely will be back.“
“I judge most Thai restaurants at first by their classic pad Thai. And this spot has some excellent pad Thai. So many other Thai restaurants lack flavor but Chokh Di is one of the best I have had. Great apps, great curry, great pad Thai. You can't go wrong here.“
“I walked in very late for lunch and was meeting someone who had not arrived yet. They were not closed but lunch was winding down. They were very accommodating. I ordered quickly for both of us. The meal was delicious! Staff was patient. We never felt rushed. The owner stopped by the table to check on us and invited us to stay as long as we wanted. Very nice atmosphere. I will be back!“
“The food was absolutely amazing! We got the Drunken noodles, Pad see ew, tom yum soup and a lychee smoothie. The spice level was perfect, for people that like spice, a Hot is actually Hot! The service was quick and nice. Usually Thai food is much more expensive so I was glad to see that it was affordable and high quality! This place is really a gem and we will absolutely be back!“
“Love Thai Orchid. It's better than most other Thai food around. I always get your duck curry but tried all their food.. everything's great. Staff is great, great atmosphere too.Update: They have significantly reduced the quantity of meat (at least in the duck curry) since COVID, with the cost going up. I don't have to be searching for duck meat! Please go back to the original recipe! I have stopped going as often now as I used to go mainly for the duck curry. I still highly recommend Thai Orchid!“
“One poor woman was handling the entire dining room. She did an excellent job, so she’s not to blame. They could have been short staffed. The sushi was delicious. The sesame entree was heavily coated in a thick syrup that drowned the main feature and had no semblance of “brown sauce” as identified in the menu, but instead a sweet and sour type sauce that just wasn’t appealing. The pad Thai was just so so with a very bland base, but worse was the burnt sesame oil flavor that permeated throughout the dish. We would likely return for the sushi alone.“
“Went during lunch and overall it was good. Not write home amazing, not fantastic, but simply a good small generic restaurant.service: Seated quickly, service was quick, very few words from the women who took my order and not even a smile. The guy who seated me seemed friendly and the women who took my payment was also friendly.food: I had the pad thai seafood combination and unlike most places they did a great job on the sauce. The shrimp and calamari clearly tasted frozen, and the calamari in particular was overcooked by a lot (so stick with the chicken, pork, or beef). The spring roll was a disappointment as it just had a bit of cabbage in it and nothing else with plenty of room, this meant that when it was fried oil could seep and and hold in. The soup was ok, mild flavoring, tasted like a chicken broth, and had a few small veggies in it with rice. Honestly, would just be better to cut those two items from the menu overall or as part of the special, better to serve 1 great thing then get it downplayed by something mediocre.Atmosphere: the place is small but nice. I was able to easily get to my seat, but if you are a larger person or need a walker or wheelchair this may not be a good option. The place itself hard bright but fading colors, and clearly the place is aging, but holding well overall.“
“This is my third time coming here. I love the vegetarian Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. I ordered vegetarian Pad Thai and shrimp version for my daughter. Taste is flavorful, although I wish it had bit more tanginess to it and I was missing a wedge of lime which is not a big deal. Overall, would recommend this place for a quick Thai cuisine, it’s tucked behind other establishments across Matthews Public library.“
