“I want to be as objective as possible. Im trying to play nice. Especially for a restaurant that charges your card for a reservation hold. Our reservation didn't get booked, so we sat at the bar. The service was good. My card got declined because it was locked. The bartender was patient while I figured it out. However, the food which is always my main focus. Let's talk about the food. It was rather disappointing. We opted for a small Salad, Chicken Parm, and Nutella pie. The only thing decent was the pie. It was huge, light and fluffy, and covered in caramel. The chicken Parm was a great size (2 big) breasts heavily breaded and covered in sauce and cheese, completely lacking flavor. The breading did have herbs. Additionally, it was completely greasey. You could squeeze the cutlet and the oil oozed. They definitely needed salt, too. The side of spaghetti was no different. The sauce was the same and lacked flavor. I did add fresh shaved parmesan, so the salt in that should have enhanced the flavor, but it was still lacking . The whole meal was void of flavor but looked esthetically palatable. I asked her opinion and she felt the same. Gave it a 2 out of 10. In fairness, she's Indian so she likes heavy flavor and spice, and I love strong seasoning, so this may not have been our cup of tea. So, take my review with a pinch of salt.”

But also my four-year-old loves it because it’s a place where he can get up and dance and not feel like he’s acting out because the atmosphere is just so perfect for truly any kind of person/family. “We visited 300 East while spending time with my son in college at UNC Charlotte. Jake our waiter was fantastic! Not only did he make excellent food recommendations but he also took time to explain how to travel around Charlotte and gave advice on local shops and art surrounding the area. “I’ve heard about Anju through some people that I follow on social media. They have only posted amazing picture and said great things about this place and I can confirm they’re on point with what they say. Charlotte needs a restaurant like Anju, bringing diversity, something new and executing delicious food and welcoming service! I treated myself to a solo dinner and it was exactly what I needed. David, my bartender, guided me through the menu with both food and beverages. We made great conversation and it was just a great experience overall. Anyone who enjoys good food and something new should definitely take the opportunity to come here!”

“Frank completed our order and was very friendly and did a great job. Good place to eat for good quality chicken with the option to get all white meat. Fried rice is enough to make two meals out of, but the downfall, there is not enough meat and getting double all white meat will be $10 plus the $9.95 for the fired rice.”

“Hi Wire is a great place for a wide variety of FREE games. Ping pong, air hockey, soccer pool, connect 4. I always love a space with gender neutral bathrooms and wheel chair accessibility. The beer selection and calendar of events is very robust as well.An area of improvement is using gender neutral pronouns for the patrons. I noticed rainbow flags all over the space but I was misgendered by the bar tender which didn’t feel affirming. I gave the space 4 stars because I recommend using they pronouns if you don’t know how someone identifies.”

“Romeo’s was amazing!! I just ate one of the best burgers I’ve ever had in my life at the Greensboro location on Tate St. So good!!! I’m a meat eater but the burger I got did not leave me wanting meat. The chili cheese fries my husband got were amazing too. Definitely coming back soon! Please support this local business!”

“I had not previously had BBQ in North Carolina. So I did my homework, both on styles and local restaurants (plus if they were open on a Monday evening). That led me to Midwood Smokehouse, and it was definitely the right choice for us. It was a great experience all-around, made even better by quality service and banter with our waiter, Tom. Drinks were a tough choice here (not in a bad way), and we did not immediately realize that there was a QR code on the menu to scan their whiskey pour menu. Since Monday was discounted cocktails night, we split our drink order between cocktails and pours. I was pleasantly surprised to see a less common bourbon, Jefferson's Ocean, available here at a reasonable price. Your food comes out quickly. Since we ordered dry meats (lean brisket and St. Louis dry rubbed ribs), we were given all the sauces from which to choose, which included the North Carolina regionals, their own, and a South Carolina spicy mustard. Honestly, the meats were so well prepared these were not necessary, but we tried every one of them anyway, and we enjoyed all of them. A couple of tips: (1) add a little salt to your collards, it will improve the flavor. (2) Try dipping your Hush Puppies in the South Carolina mustard. By the way, these were unquestionably the best Hush Puppies I've ever had - so many places in the Northeast need to cook them a tad more, thus they are more like Mush Puppies. This was a great first experience venturing into local "bbq territory."”

“One of my go to rooftop bars in Charlotte. I love the diversity of the chairs. You got bar seats, sectionals, those big egg lookin rattans. Is rattan a word? Idk, feels right. Drinks are great, service is great, views are great. I dinged a star cause one time they wouldn’t let me and a friend sit at the bar when we really really wanted to sit at the bar.
