Fried chicken, meatloaf, the creamiest mashed potatoes, peach cobbler……..and the cheesiest, saucy, mac & cheese I’ve ever had anywhere. If you knew how much Mac & Cheese I eat! That’s like winning the Oscar of Mac & Cheese. DO NOT miss the charming quaint piece of southern culture when you’re in this area.”

“As we all know, HYCO Lake flooded and I was down there doing some cleanup work and was exhausted and wanted to grab me a delicious pizza before I went home. I swung in sat down. They had a wonderful buffet, but I chose to take a pizza home with me instead, so I ordered a pepperoni pizza. It was prepared and probably 15 to 18 minutes and it was excellent. I wanted to share the picture of the first slice by God it was delicious. Unfortunately it won’t let me share the picture or I don’t know how but I can tell you when I pulled that pizza off of the aluminum pie tray to my plate. There was 40 strings of cheese coming all the way from the pizza all the way to my plate it was amazing.”

“They have 2 picnic tables outside to eat, otherwise it’s takeout and eat in your car. We bring 2 camping chairs and eat in back. Watch life go by 😃 Great food, worth the wait!”

“So we’ve been going to Isabel’s pizza for many years whenever we get there and yesterday I was so glad we did. They know have a cauliflower pizza for us gluten free people 🙌 I have to say it was a 10 out of ten for me. I e missed pizza and this was amazing and you couldn’t tell it was cauliflower at all. My husband even liked it and said he would eat that. Thank you for making my trip awesome”

“I have been going to the Tavern during my VIR visits at least a couple times each year since 2018. The experience that I get here is usually pretty inconsistent, sometimes the food is quite good, other times not so much. They do have a rotating menu which is constantly changed year to year, they used to have a garden salad that could have a blackened salmon with a special balsamic glaze added to it which was phenomenal, I wish they would keep that consistently on the menu. Burgers are usually pretty good, steaks can be overcooked at times but usually pretty good as well. The biggest improvement they could make is to have some consistency with their food.

The venue itself is incredible, its beautiful there! The atmosphere of being at VIR is hard to beat.

Service for me has always been really good, never had any issues with our servers or getting food in a timely manner.”

“I have food allergies, which many people do! one of the things that I am allergic to is cheese. I needed to grab some lunch today on my lunch break. I am trying to eat healthier these days so, I tried to get a salad with no cheese from the Wendy’s on South Boston Road in Danville, VA and I was told... “sorry ma’am, all of our salads are pre-made and you cannot get a salad without cheese.” I guess Wendy’s is not allergy friendly and they have horrible customer service!!!! On the other hand, I went up the road to the Burger King on South Boston Road and went through the drive through and told them about my allergies and asked for a salad without cheese and they made me a fresh made-to-order salad right then and there! :) Good job BK on South Boston Road for your awesome customer service!!! :)))Guess at Burger King you can really have it your own way! :))) � � to the Wendy’s on South Boston Road. You have horrible service!! Maybe y’all need some customer service training from Burger King??? Nevertheless, Wendy’s just lost my business!!!”

“I got my food pretty quickly and even got an extra goody in the bag. I hadn't eaten Hardee's in a while but when I tastes the burger it was a really nice feeling. Tasted amazing and technically got it free because I signed up for the Hardee's app. Which you should do if you haven't already. It's worth it to have especially because you can get free food. Free food is good food.”

“Drove by this location on a long travel. There was a stranger feeding a homeless and the associate was friendly during the transaction. That was good to see. There was a big spill of ice and water on the floor. An associate walked pass that area few times without putting a spill cone or putting even a paper towel on it. 10 mins later a dude came by to clean it up. Thats enough time for a person to slip and fall. Their whole milk ran out so i couldnt get hot latte. Otherwise the food that i got was in good standards.”

“This is my wife's favorite place, not really my cup of tea. But she loves their ham and cheese sandwiches. She gets the biggie bag for like 5 or 6 dollars. The fries normally suck but this time they weren't perfect but there were improvements.”
