My family (3 adults and 4 children) went to the Huntersville location this past weekend and there was literally a COCKROACH hanging out on the floor by our table. We pointed it to our waitress and she said how embarrassing it was, then proceeded to smash it with her foot while telling us “don’t look” multiple times. I ordered lasagna around 9:30 Saturday October 4th. In South End. They made it look yummy on their website but what they served me was not edible. It looked as if someone drowned lasagna noodles in spaghetti sauce but the sauce wasn’t even red so I’m not sure what it was. By the time I got home and got a look at it the restaurant was closed so I couldn’t take it back.

We love the pizza, but our order is wrong half the time. When placing an online order, the employees have to hand key the order into their system. More times than not, the order is keyed wrong. I’m tired of having to wait extra time because of the carelessness.

Based on the reviews, Hawthorne's NY Pizza and Bar offers fantastic service and delicious food. The staff is always welcoming and friendly, with Emily and Ben providing superior customer service. The menu includes the Crew personal pizza and the sausage and pepperoni stromboli, which are absolutely delicious. The best garlic knots ever and a signature salad with a surprisingly delicious bleu cheese balsamic dressing are also highlights. They always have delicious sweet tea, and bar service is available with drinks like red sangria and an old fashioned. A key lime pie dessert from a promotion is also memorable. It is one of the highest priced pizza options in the area, and the food seems better eaten there. This is the best Italian restaurant because of the delicious food, coupled with outstanding customer service.
