I have not been in one of these restaurants in over 15 years and the decor has stayed the same along with the majority of the menu. Pretty much this place is a more laid back Buffalo Wild wings. The food is okay but they seem to charge a little over per plate in my opinion. I ordered the Buffalo wrap with Carolina gold sauce with French fries, accompanied with a large bud light.“

“Update of previous review: Went into Empire today (March 13th, 2026) and spoke with the manager Kevin in regards to the previous service I received. He was very apologetic and accommodating. Very professional on how the situation was handled and I appreciate that. Totally different experience from the previous day and I appreciate how things was resolved. Thank you.“

“Went to NC Tavern mainly because my friend wanted to try the seafood bowl. She said it was good, but for $34, it felt like it should’ve come with more—especially since items like sausage, potatoes, and eggs had to be added on separately.
I ordered shrimp and a salad. The shrimp was good, but they didn’t have the right sauce to really take it up a notch. The salad was just okay—nothing special, and I ended up taking most of it home. I also tried an Arnold Palmer with tea and strawberry lemonade, but it was way too sweet, so I sent it back.
We did get a couple of drinks, and they were decent—nothing amazing, but not bad either.
Now, where they really shine is the service. Our waitress was on point—attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of the entire time.
The atmosphere is definitely more of a party vibe. It’s loud, especially on a Friday night, so if you’re looking to have a real conversation, this probably isn’t the spot. Music started off with house (not my thing), but once the DJ switched, the vibe improved a lot.
Overall, I’d give it an 8/10. Good experience, but a few things could definitely be tightened up.“

The food here was very good and hot when it arrived at the table. The service was very good and we felt like we were being taken care of.
