“Towne Tavern is our favorite local watering hole! The staff are super friendly and make the place, especially Amanda and Andie. The daily specials and bingo/music bingo give something fun to do. I work from home so getting out of the house for fun and hanging out with the locals is what it’s all about. We’ve been coming to the place for a while and think the food has been so much better under new management. Definitely check it out if you haven’t been!“

“Dang. I hate to have to update this, but this is not as good as it was. The last 2 visits saw wrong orders, inatentive servers, and similar. Yesterday, ordered my usual, #1, over light, please crisp the bacon. Eggs over cooked, bacon undercooked. Server not to be found. Never a coffee refill. As preparing to leave, they checked on us, and I *politely and quietly* showed them my incomplete meal. They did replace the items, but took a while, and I think the burnt bacon I was presented seemed a little spiteful.“

“Karaoke Thursday was awesome. Several very talented singers were in the house. The draft beer selection seemed extensive however several of the options were unavailable. Surprisingly there were no seasonal options such as pumpkin or Octoberfest beers. Our server was very attentive and kept our drinks filled throughout the evening. One low point was the food offerings. We ordered several items and everything seemed to be frozen and not freshly prepared in house. Specifically the chicken strips ordered were of good quality however were processed frozen strips. The burgers are angus grade according to the menu but are frozen. One positive note is they have tater tots. All of the food received was hot and prepared as expected. The prices for the food and beer are reasonable. Overall. A good time and a fun time.“

“I came in for a quick lunch with my son and for him to work on some school work. He had the burger deal for Monday special which is a great deal for a lot of food. I had ordered something new which I wasn’t thrilled with but the waitress and the manager could not have been more helpful in fixing the situation and making sure I was happy with my meal. “Hubby and I stopped in for lunch after Christmas shopping. We live in NC so this was our 1st time eating here. We sat at the bar and were served by the bartender herself. Great personality, professional but also funny and very pretty! I wasn't feeling well so we ended up boxing our food up to-go almost immediately after it was placed on the table. She could tell I was not doing well so she did everything she could to help me and help my husband get everything together and bagged up. Very nice of her.“
