“New to Newton. We couldn't get food from next door, since they close for a little while before dinner, so we went with Dominoes. SO HAPPY WE DID! The sandwiches were so tasty! Hot, outside bread was crunchy and the toppings were just right! We had the chicken habenero and Philly cheesesteak. Our Delivery Driver, Bianca, was so fast and pleasant! Afterwards I had a free 2 topping pizza offer for the next week, that was a nice surprise.“

“Whatever this place has done to change the ingredients in the pizza crust - they have made an excellent choice. I used to hate eating this pizza. But in the past year, i have found myself going here more than other pizza places. The prices, the crust, and the buttery garlic sauce are flat out amazing. The service is either exceptional or subpar depending on what day and time you visit. And the only other knock is that occasionally certain items that are supposed to always be “ready all day” - aren’t made which causes an 8-10 minute wait. But that’s not very often. The absolute worst part about this place is the parking lot. There is very little room. And I absolutely loath the speed bump when you’re pulling in and out. Other than that, you should give this location a try.“

“Nestled unassumingly in a nondescript strip mall, flanked by a vape shop and a Dollar Tree, lies a culinary treasure that defies its lackluster surroundings. This pizzeria, a beacon of authenticity in the Hickory-Conover-Newton area, delivers an unparalleled pizza experience that transports diners straight to the bustling streets of New York City. Despite its unremarkable exterior—where dimly lit parking lots evoke the moody ambiance of Gotham—the moment you step inside, you’re enveloped in a warm, rustic embrace that feels like stumbling upon a well-kept secret. The star of this establishment is, without question, its pizza. Each pie is a masterpiece, crafted with a thin, airy crust that achieves the perfect balance of crisp and chewy. The foundation is adorned with vibrant, house-made mozzarella that melts into creamy pools, complemented by a robust plum tomato sauce bursting with fresh, tangy sweetness. Premium meats and thoughtfully selected ingredients elevate every bite, ensuring a symphony of flavors that linger long after the last slice. While the price reflects the quality—slightly higher than chain alternatives like Little Caesars, Pizza Hut, or Domino’s—it’s a worthy indulgence. For those seeking a taste without committing to a full pie, generously portioned single slices are available, each a meal in itself. Beyond the food, the heart of this pizzeria is its owner, whose warmth and hospitality transform a simple meal into a memorable experience. On my first visit, even as closing time loomed, he greeted me like an old friend, his genuine kindness culminating in a complimentary slice—a gesture that spoke volumes about the establishment’s ethos. This personal touch sets the pizzeria apart, making every patron feel valued and welcomed. Inside, the atmosphere is a delightful contrast to the exterior’s drab facade. The dining area exudes a charming, rustic authenticity, with cream white walls and arches with weathered brick accents that evoke an old-world Italian trattoria. Though the decor feels intentionally unpolished—almost frozen in time—it adds to the place’s soulful character. The true centerpiece, however, is the expansive, immaculate kitchen, visible through an open counter. It hums with purpose, its gleaming surfaces and organized chaos a testament to the care poured into every dish. In a region where culinary options can feel predictable, this pizzeria stands as a revelation. It’s a place where quality reigns supreme, where the flavors of NYC’s finest pizza parlors are recreated with precision, and where the warmth of human connection elevates the experience. For anyone craving an authentic slice of pizza heaven, this hidden gem is a destination worth seeking out.“
