“I am a longtime customer of Hadley’s. I have been eating there for over 40 years. After the restaurant was sold and closed for a period of time, I really missed the food there. When it reopened, I initially did not return but in the last few months, I have returned found the food is great, much as it always was. They have three waitresses who are awesome. These ladies work together and when food comes out either one of these ladies will get your food and bring it to you. They know how to work together. They often have to bus tables and even have to wash dishes because Hadley’s seems to have trouble keeping a dishwasher. But they do an awesome job waiting tables. The food is still very good with chicken and dumplings my favorite. Chicken tenders, pintos, slaw, country style steak are all very good. Hot dogs and hamburgers are great and fries are hot and crisp. Great cornbread too. I visit at least once a week and the food is great and service is consistently great.”

Busy place. Parking was tough but we managed after a few minutes. Seated immediately.

Our server was outstanding and our food came out super quick. Awesome. Home run here.

I got the Smokehouse Platter (18.99). This comes with all the meats of pulled BBQ, sliced tenderloin, smoked chicken, and 5 ribs. I did the okra for a 1.99 upcharge. The puppies came with the meal. Breakdown:

Pulled BBQ: Moist and tender. The vinegar sauce was needed and a good addition.

Sliced tenderloins: Holy heaven on earth, Batman! Tender. Moist. Awesome flavor with the sauce. By far the best part of the plate. The slightly crunchy edges do it for me!

Chicken: Moist but needed something else for flavor. Bland perhaps. The meat itself was a good cut and cooked perfectly.

Ribs: Torn on these. Very lean and fell off the bone nicely. This part was excellent. Somewhat bland and needed some more sauce for my liking. But cooked perfectly. I did the vinegar sauce on the table to give it more flavor. Almost! This could potentially be a game changer with some more sauce.

Okra: 1.99 upcharge but a great version.

Puppies: Freaking awesome. I wanted more of these. The best version I can remember having.

Their ice cream made Our State Magazine at one point. I did a Red Velvet milkshake and this was heaven. Yes yes yes. Well priced at 3.99 and this was a great value for how fantastic it was. Simply outstanding. Get the whipped cream for added consistency. You can mix ice cream flavors to make a concoction but it would take parting the Red Sea for me to not get this. Wow!

I mentioned the quick turnaround for food and friendly service. Thought the upcharge of 1.99 for one side was a tad too much. Mostly good but potentially great. Worth a look!”

“I ordered from the North wilkesboro location. I had a call in order, my order was ready when I arrived. The cashier was super friendly. I ordered a 10" Cauliflower gluten free pizza with BBQ sauce, extra pineapples and Jalepenos. When I tell you it is probably one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten. I couldn't just stop at 1 or 2 slices. The crust was crunchy and the cheese was browned just perfectly. The best combination I could have ordered.”

“The decor in this place has been the same for 20 years and you get to look at a lot of historical decorations while dinning. Salad bar is almost always well stocked, pizza bar can be emptied out easily if the building is full, but they quickly restock. The wings are amazing!”

“The shrimp tacos are the best I have EVERRRRR had!!! And they will go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. Also, on the weekends the upstairs bar is open and there is a jukebox and a pool table. And the bartender is 10/10. You walk up the steps outside to get to it.”

The sweet girl that was at the cash register was super helpful, kind and funny! When I got my food….I was nervous! Bc it was something I had never tried! I ordered a medium pizza with ham, bacon and pineapple and 10 wings all for $17! I got home and started eating and the pizza was perfect! The wings were perfect! Love the teriyaki btw! Yall if you have never tried Zack’s…..you are missing out! This food is so good it will make ya tongue slap ya brains out! 🤤😋🤤😋 I ain’t even lying yall! The food is amazing and the price is more affordable than any restaurant around here….including McDonalds! I honestly don’t think yall will find better food at the prices they have anywhere else! The workers was so amazing! and nice I love good customer service and the place was so clean! our food was spectacular! I'm like this is the best subway I ever been to in my life they need to give the workers a nice raise because they did that hands down I can't remember there names when I bit in to my sub I wanted to cry 😂 because everything was so delish! Very satisfied🙂 I feel like I want to drive 4 hrs there that's how awesome it was I know it sounds crazy but I love subway I use to work at one and they make a sub the way I make mines with love they truly a Sub Artist.”

When people work hard it makes the place so much better they have team work like I've never seen before maybe if McDonald's did they would do better.
