“Recently, my family and I were in Smithfield for about 5 weeks and The Gilded Pear was recommended and became a second home to us for lunch and the greatest coffee. It was the best recommendation ever! The ladies who waited on us, the cook, the staff, were so helpful and friendly. They knew we were from out of town and made us feel so at home and welcome every day. The lunches we had were so good and the baked potato salad so yummy, I sometimes just ordered that; the pumpkin and cinnamon muffins finished it off. Gilded Pear, thank you all!!!”

“Look you going to come here because the food is awesome and it is affordable. You can get two hot dogs small fry and a drink for a little over $5. These days that's awesome deal as you can get. And they have really good hot dogs they're not stingy with the toppings. They have great spring rolls. They got really good lemonade. When you go there, they might be in line but it'll be worth the wait it won't take that long. There's a reason why there's a line. It's cuz the food is awesome”

They have to have at least 50 bottles of top quality, whiskey, and bourbon.the atmosphere is lively fun. They have a patio that has open tables and is a perfect spot to relax. “A nice small restaurant, I went with my wife around lunch it was our first time here. My wife got the Butter Garlic Shrimp, I ordered Tikka Masala with Rice. I have to say this will be a go to spot for us. Our server was pleasant, and the food was amazing. I love Indian food and the masala and shrimp were some of the best we've had. I highly recommend trying it out, you won't regret it.”
