“(This is Tim Burgess - Marlene's Husband).I was visiting NC from Arizona, last week. I was looking for a locally owned craft beer bar/bottle shop with great reviews while in town. I found the perfect place. I went in there twice last week and was greeted both times by Kit- The Owner. He made me feel very welcome. We talked about how important great service is and how he really makes a great effort to take care of his customers. I went there twice whilst in town. The atmosphere is very welcoming. I chatted with several patrons at Kit's and everyone was very very friendly. They have a great selection of bottles, cans, and beers on tap. (I bought several beers to carry out.) They also have a plethora of wines to choose from (though I did not partake).If I lived in the Charlotte area, I would definitely be a regular here. Thank you for a great time! “I had the hamburger at Painted Rooster, and it was absolutely delicious. The flavor was great, and I also really enjoyed the coleslaw. The service was good, and overall I had a very pleasant experience.
My only suggestion would be to make the hamburger a little bigger or offer a larger portion. After finishing the burger and the coleslaw, I was still a little hungry. The quality and taste are definitely there—just a little more food would make the experience even better.
Overall, delicious food, good service, and a place I’d be happy to visit again!“

“Visited Matthews, NC few days ago and had lunch here. The food was awesome (I had Jalapeno Poppers and Peter Piper burger), and so was the beer selection (I had a really good blonde ale (cannot recall the name unfortunately)). Service was great, and washrooms were clean. The place has a really cool vibe to it, looks like one would feel at home there while watching sports on one of the many screens.“
“The vibes here are always so good. The drinks are amazing too but I think it’s just a little bit of the vibe of a lot more than a few of them and the food was good and I was just a bit of an idiot this was a good idea and a good one to start off the week off right in the first week and I hope it goes smoothly.“

“My go to coffee shop in Charlotte. The brown sugar rosemary latte is well done and I’m obsessed with the breakfast sandwiches. I love trying the seasonal specials. It’s always something unique and tasty and the staff is very warm and friendly. Love this place!“

“We hosted our book club social here tonight and had an amazing experience! The staff was incredibly accommodating, friendly, and provided excellent customer service from start to finish. The Craft 75 was absolutely delicious and definitely a highlight of the night. Everyone in our group had a wonderful time, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend!“

“I’ve eaten here before and the food is always amazing but I’m now breastfeeding my daughter who has a dairy/soy intolerance and the chef and staff went above and beyond to help accommodate me. It’s really hard to dine out with these limitations and they were so helpful and the food was still so good even without the dairy and soy! :)“
“We had an amazing networking event last night! The atmosphere at Protagonist was perfect for our event they had a full AV system which was incredibly helpful. The staff was so accommodating and welcoming. Our guests had a great time! We’ll definitely be back!“

“This place is fantastic! Went there last night for a networking meeting and was thoroughly impressed. The food, decor, and the live band were so great! “We love the Foxhole! The food is tasty and the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. The real stars of this place, though, are the bartenders, Janet and David. They are so personable, kind, and welcoming, not to mention they make amazing cocktails! (Janet's espresso martini is one of the best I have ever had) We are locals, so there are lots of competing places with similar vibes, but the service here is truly unmatched. We frequent the Foxhole often simply because Janet and David are some of the best bartenders around. Exceptional service with staff who truly care about doing a good job and making their guests feel at home.“
“We had lunch there today for the first time. The service was outstanding. Our server was so friendly and informative about the menu. We sat on the inside but the outdoor patio looked like a great option as well. Everything was very clean. We had the ribeye sandwich and the jalapeño popper bacon grilled cheese sandwich. They were both excellent but… That grilled cheese! If you go there, you’ve got to order that. It was out of this world good and just the right amount of spicy.“

“Staff was friendly and engaging, and made excellent recommendations. Food was delivered quick!! Burger was cooked perfectly and while the fries were good and crisp, the onion rings were INCREDIBLE. Don't forget the chocolate milkshake!! Definitely recommend and will be coming back.“

“I went to Hobo's last night for a friend's birthday. We sat outside for karaoke. I have wanted to sing karaoke for awhile but I've always been way too nervous!! DJ Swin (please tag him!) did such an awesome job at hyping up the audience AND the singers! it didn't matter what your singing ability was he made you feel great about getting up there! People were being silly and having fun which is what karaoke is all about! So when my hubby asked me to sing with him I did! I got up there and actually had a lot of fun. So thank you for hosting this and thank you to DJ Swin for making this a really welcoming event! We'll be back!“
