“We were visiting our daughter and grandchildren. We live in Florida. Following several recommendations we choose to dine at your restaurant. We fell in love with this charming little pizza place as we entered. Your staff were all very nice and so helpful in helping us making our choices. So many unique options to choose from. A special thanks to the young man Ashton. His kindness and care was very much appreciated. Thank You Ashton You were wonderful. “Great food and great service. Got there with a reservation and we were seated within about 5 minutes of our reservation time. It was pretty crowded but wasn't too much of a problem.

Food was really good, got some of the shareable plates for the two of us to share, the brussel sprouts were great and loved the short rib croquettes.

The cocktail menu was extensive and the ones we tried were very good.

Even though it was crowded didn't feel like we were crowded at the table. We were able to have a good conversation without feeling like we had to worry about others hearing us.

“We held my daughter’s celebratory graduation dinner from UNCC at Barcelona Wine Bar this past weekend, and it was absolutely perfect! I planned the event far in advance with Tiana, their Sales & Events Manager, and she was thorough, communicative and handled it all like a pro, including a last minute change to the menu that she texted to me (smart). She arranged for printed menus with the event name (lovely detail!) and because they can’t include mussels, her favorite, on an event menu (understandable), they surprised us and sent her some anyway on the house. Our main server (I’m blanking on her name so sorry we love you so much!!) and our bar servers, Morgan and Justin (who we kept busy 🤣), should win personality of the year awards for their wit, humor, charm and skill (for instance, Morgan wowed us with his tapas plate stacking ability and made sure to holler in my Mama’s good ear when he spoke 🤣). It was great fun, and the food was DELISH!! Highly recommend for events and also looks like a fun place to just hang out!“

Michelle was our waitress and truly made the evening so special. She was so knowledgeable around the menu and so attentive and fun. The food was exceptional. I had the waygu flank special and he had the 16oz ribeye. The shrimp appetizer was a great way to start and the apple crisp was a perfect ending to the meal. Both experiences had their differences and similarities and have me counting down the days until I go back. The menus both times were filled with many options of delicious foods. I did a little bit of everything while I was there and the truth is there are no wrong choices with what they offer! Now for my favorite part of my visit(s): The owners came out while we were eating and when we finished to check on how our service was and introduce themselves/say hello again. I LOVE that they do this. It added such a personal touch to this Family-Owned dining experience both in the morning at brunch and in the evening at dinner. “I stumbled upon Exotica at an India Food Festival in Charleston, SC. I’ve been on an Indian Food kick so I had to go see what this festival had to offer. Exotica had an impressive spread of food that was well displayed esthetically and from a food quality and safely standpoint. I’m a kitchen manager and caterer so that stands out and matters to me. They had the longest of a lot of long lines which told me it should be good. I was right. It was top notch. They far exceeded my expectations for the event. I didn’t know what most of the menu was so I looked everything up while I waited and made a list on my hand. My favorites of what I chose were the Samosa Chat, Onion Samosa and the Madurai Malli Dosa. Everything was amazing though. Sooo many flavors!! I’ll definitely be going to their restaurant the next time I’m near Charlotte. 10000% Now that I look at the full menu I see so much more that I need to try. “My wife and I stopped here Friday night before dinner at a nearby restaurant. Friday and Saturday nights get very crowded but we were fortunate to grab 2 seats at the bar which is rather small. They specialize in MANY types of wine, craft beers and sangria. I’m had the Gailic Ale and an Oktoberfest, my wife had the red sangria. The atmosphere is that of a boutique book shop/winery. They offer a small selection of small bites that looked delicious. Very cool place . Prices were fair and we look forward to going back.“

Chicken marsala with mushrooms as good as it gets. Hearts of palm salad not on many menus but was delightful. “Dined here for the first time recently and I am so impressed with our entire experience here! We had a reservation and we had to wait maybe 7 minutes after our arrival to be seated (in my opinion isn’t a long time). We were asked if we were okay with patio seating and they sat us at a small table out there. I thought it was perfect and we were both more than happy with the seating/wait time, but management still offered us each a drink on the house for the “inconvenience”! He even helped me pick a wine out from the menu based off of my tastes. The staff all seem to be very knowledgeable about all the menu offerings and are glad to help if you are indecisive!

I ordered the penne alla vodka and it was AMAZING!! The bread they brought out to us was very good as well! The pricing was extremely reasonable for the quality of food and service that we received. We were here on a first date, and I feel that the atmosphere of this establishment positively contributed to the success of our date. It’s the perfect date night spot!!

Our server was wonderful!! I hate that I didn’t get his name (he was somewhat soft spoken and had dark curly hair). He was very sweet and attentive during our time there. Me being the forgetful individual that I am, left my leftovers box behind and as we were starting to drive away our server RAN to our car with my box. Absolutely 10/10 service and he deserves a raise!!!!
