This is a walk up and order, but they do bring the food to your table. Fairly basic menu, farm to table, fresh. I had the peach ginger pop tart and Imll tell you it was fantastic. Real chunks of peach, subtle ginger flavor, soft but not mushy crust. For the healthier clientele, get the avocado toast, earthy mushrooms, hearty whole grain toast with a spark of chili oil. Cafe Root Cellar is such a lovely part of Pittsboro. The ever-changing menus that highlight the seasons, local produce, and the talents of co-owner Chef Sera Cuni, make for a great end-of-the-week dinner spot. Love that the atmosphere is casual while the food is a culinary delight. Wonderful evening with great weather so glad to have been able to utilize the outdoor seating option before winter git too cooold.Dietary restrictions: They serve fresh local menu prepped every week with all options from Gluten Free to Vegetarian and everything in between.
