“Friday night we ate at Oliver’s, and it was another great experience. We got there close to closing time, but you would have never known it. Every single waitress treated us like we had all the time in the world. The place was slammed, yet the service never slowed down. They were patient, kind, and kept communicating with us, telling us not to worry about the time and to go ahead and order whatever we wanted. You could tell the staff takes real pride in that place. They were running that restaurant like the owners, Jeff and Liz, were standing right there. That says a lot. I ordered the fresh flounder, and it was incredible. Perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and fresh. I added the salad bar and finished with key lime pie. Pastor Johnny had the double cheeseburger with the salad bar and some kind of chocolate peanut dessert that was amazing. We’re still not even sure what it was called, but it was delicious. When you look around the room, every table is enjoying themselves. Families talking, laughing, just having a good dinner together. That kind of atmosphere is hard to find these days, especially when you’re trying to stay away from processed food and eat real meals. We’ve been eating at Oliver’s for about five years now, and honestly it gets better every time. We never get tired of it. The food is good, the environment is welcoming, and the staff is always kind.”

“You can tell they take great pride in their food and the whole experience. We got there at 8, had breakfast at 9:30, enjoyed a free beer at 11, ate lunch at about 12:15. It was a great time with friends and some of the best food I've ever had.

The breakfast absolutely blew me away. The brisket taco and the blueberry kolache were delicious. For lunch, the beef rib was so worth it, just be prepared to share! The brisket and bacon burnt ends were even better than I expected after hearing everyone rave about them. I also really liked the Porky B Taco.

One minor note to the staff (if you read this) - the beef ribs are incorrectly priced on your website menu. They say $35 per half pound. They were half the price in the restaurant :)”

I took the waitress's recommendation and had Jalisco chicken instead of Arroz Con Pollo-- great choice. Everything was well prepared and tasty. Prices were good and service excellent. This won't be our last visit.”

“First time visiting. Buffet looked really good, with several meats and several vegetable options. Also had cornbread and fatback, so you know it had to be good. Decided on the bug burger, which was delicious. Good service with quick turn around time. Great atmosphere. Family oriented.”

“So I placed a online order and I had called and let them know that I didn’t want wings with the variety bucket . The lady seemed annoyed cause I explained that when you do an order online I wish there was an option to what kinda chicken pieces you wanted for example legs, breast , or wings but no you only get the option for original or crispy . So I called back up there to let someone know that I had asked for extra legs instead of wings and I got the complete opposite. I also got over charged for honey mustard it was for 7 honey mustard but only got five .”

Every single person on staff when I visited (and I hope corporate sees this-check your staffing schedule for 6:15ish pm on April 18, 2005. Two lovely young men and three lovely young women. They deserve raises. Of course I tipped them but come on, please pay these honest, hard working people a real living wage with healthcare. And I’m not just talking subway-it’s a systemic issue in the USA. Be the change you want to be! Thanks guys for the fresh meal and smiles. Appreciate each of you.”

“I want to give a 5-Star shout out to LarShanell for her great job tonight. She was level headed, kind, and authoritative. I watched her handle three different customers, two of them were not able to have their order filled the way they ordered it because of the items not being available. Because of the way she carried herself and handled the situation, no one was angry or upset. If you are looking for a new manager for Wendy's, she's your girl. I predict a revenue increase if you give her more authority.”
