“I’ve been here before and the service before was 5 star and 5 star food - would recommend to everyone. This time, unfortunately, was very disappointing and they must have really just had an off night - we came for a special birthday and they didn’t have MANY of the side items (no fries, no sweet potato cups, no carrots, no butternut squash soup, etc) and service was ok. Our birthday boy had to wait at least an extra 10-15 minutes to receive his burger after they got the order wrong - we all wanted to wait for him and most of our food got a little cold. The broccoli he ordered was very undercooked (he said it was raw, but it was just slightly steamed). Never refilled the tea drinks - not sure if it was free refills, but it would have been nice to ask. They also didn’t have two of the desserts we wanted to get, either! (No chocolate cake or peach & raspberry crumble. I’ll probably be back but was very disappointed this time - if it was my first time I might not would have wanted to come back. Luckily, I’ll give them another chance since I’ve had such great service and food in the past.“

“You know it’s going to be good when the table comes stocked with molasses which pairs so well with the buttermilk biscuits. The little girls’ favorite was the garden fresh corn on the cob. The only thing better than the food is the service! Thank y’all for making us feel at home.“

“One of my favorite places in town. Ben’s stalwart Gussie’s manages to tick so many seemingly disconnected boxes - great bar, with inventive cocktails. But a comfort food local place. Or maybe a beer geek temple - for those who know good breweries that aren’t trendy but were solid 20 years ago and still frigging are. Someone knows. Yeah Budweiser maybe could be upscaled a little but someone knows Lawson’s and 3 Floyd’s and even tonight’s surprise of Festina Peche from Dogfish Head that’s been awesome for what, 25 years? They regularly find things that I’ve not seen on tap in ages. The food - non beef eaters might need a minute but there’s choices there but the smash burgers are a work of art. Cocktails are inventive and excellent and the staff is awesome. A quibble - it’s a loud room so maybe the music could be a smidge lower so people don’t shout over it and it just gets very loud. But that’s a quibble. It’s comfy, it’s familiar, it’s good. Come here. Except when I want to come here because I want a seat at the bar, ok?“

“We had a very positive experience. The food was delicious!! Nicole was our waitress, and she made it so much fun. My husband told her what he wanted to eat because he couldn't find exactly what he wanted on the menu and she nailed it!She definitely knew what she was doing. The only bad thing is I walked out stuffed!!!
The young man checking us out has super sales ability - he got us to do the buy 1 bread get 1 free. We bought the blueberry bread and the banana bread and they were soooo good warmed up with butter.
We also bought some farm animal suckers for our nieces. They were happy; parents not so - too much sugar...lol.
Also I was impressed because even though they had some kind of inspection going on, we got our food in a timely manner. The manager (I think Amanda) also went around making sure everything was OK and talking to customers.“
