Called in a take out order and was told 15-20 minutes to pick up. My husband waited 1hr for my food and was told there was a back up in the sushi line. It took him checking in three times before he got my food. I ordered two Philly rolls with soy paper. Sushi was rolled loosely and way too much rice was used.
Since moving from NY to NC, I've been looking for a really good Japanese Steak place like a Benihana or, where I came from on Long Island, we had a place called Shiro's. I found the food at Umanmi to be excellent...and, plan to go back soon.
Great Food and staff!!!!! One of the best please in #NorthCarolina

While the sushi variety is limited, the quality is excellent, with huge rolls that are well worth the price. Customers appreciate the fresh taste of the fish and enjoy a nice and quiet atmosphere, especially upstairs. The staff is always so kind, friendly, and inviting. The food really speaks for itself, with a delicious unagi cucumber roll and amazing crab wontons. Guests can sit around the open grill where the chef cooks in front of them or choose a small separate part for more privacy and quiet. They have a full service bar and an extensive menu. It is a favorite spur of the moment go to place with delicious food.
