The Shortrib Stroganoff had absolutely no seasoning. No salt or pepper at minimum. It tasted like tough roast beef shavings. Literally only 5 mushrooms and the “Sour cream” was abysmal. I also ordered the Chef Salad with the Avocado Dressing and it tasted like old Avocados. No seasoning as well.

We were in town for a convention and didn't even get to try them out because we didn't have a reservation. No where we looked did it say a reservation was suggested or needed, prior to walking three blocks to get there. So we were very disappointed that we had to leave.

Service was excellent! Food was beautiful and delicious. We had Mediterranean Salad, Breakfast Burrito, Fruit Salad with beautiful fresh fruit (large) shrimp added, prime rib burger (was a little dry don’t order it medium well). Tatertot hash have a lots of crunchy onions in them. Server kept our drinks full.

Great service and good. Excellent menus to suit anyone. Was not going to take pictures, but the Mushroom Swiss burger was one of the best I ever had. That is why only half of it is in the picture.

Came here this morning for my cousin’s birthday brunch and had a very disappointing experience. Our server, Mandy, was slow, dismissive, and had a consistently bad attitude from the moment we were seated. Simple requests like water refills or extra sauces were met with eye-rolling and visible irritation, and at times she acted as if she couldn’t hear us when we tried to get her attention. Her passive-aggressive behavior made what should have been a celebratory brunch uncomfortable and unenjoyable. This level of service is unacceptable for a customer-facing role.

As someone who has been going to this restaurant for years, I can promise you that no better place for dining or general enjoyment exists on this planet. Parkside is essentially heaven, but better - they have tater tots. I had their loaded waffle the other day and it made me weep tears of joy. The fried chicken biscuit bowl has had a more powerful impact on my life than the invention of the internet. I had a bowl of the tomato bisque and proposed to the chef on the spot. I'm smarter, funnier, and a better person after each experience there. I had the short rib melt and left 2 inches taller and could speak 4 languages. Everything is better at Parkside. My grandmother could get run over in a car driven by my family dog and if my day ended at Parkside, it would still be a great day.

And then there is the staff. Jenessa, Maddie, Mike, and Bryan are simply the best. They are more attentive, gracious, and caring than my own mother - and my mom rules.

You do not WANT to go to Parkside, you NEED to go to Parkside. Do yourself a favor and belly up to the bar, take down 2-3 peach masons, a breakfast shot, and a pretzel and you'll be a better person for it. Just be sure to save me a seat because all this typing has made me hungry and I know EXACTLY where I'm going.

This review is long overdue. I have been coming here for the last two years and it’s by far my favorite restaurant in Raleigh. The food is consistently amazing and they are always coming up with different specials to change things up. Love the bar menu too. Mason jars and breakfast shots are a must for Sunday brunch! Shout out to Bryan and Maddie behind the bar who are always fun to talk to you and provide great service every time. I overheard the owner, Jenessa, talking to her staff today about creating some new specials and I can’t wait to see what they have next. Thinking maybe a new kind of burger or something like that. Definitely check this place out if you are in downtown Raleigh!

Overall it was a great experience. The deviled eggs need a bit more work...try adding cubed pickles. Everything else was wonderful!
