Had fun here with my sister when we visited. I'm giving five stars because one, the bartender was fabulous. And two, I have pretty bad heptophobia. So despite the name, the decor is actually really cute and mostly plushies or signs or artwork drawn by the patrons. It kept my fear at bay and let me chill with my sister and kick back some nice drinks.
OMG! I love this bar and the owner Suzanne is the best! She the sweeties and she cares about the well being of those that come to enjoy the establishment. They play great music, have pool tables and other fun games to play. The bartenders are very attentive and nice. Anytime you wanna a fun chill night..UGLY monkey is the place. Thanks Suzanne!!

Awesome spot, one of the coolest spots in Raliegh, Cliff the bouncer is cooler than a mf and each time I've visited the staff behind the bar has been extremely helpful and excellent as well! Despite the funny name this place has proven to be one of my FAV places in this cool ? city ?
