New American Restaurants near Roanoke Rapids, NC

“Great diner. Clean environment, friendly staff. Jessica was attentive without being obnoxious. Everyone greeted upon entering. "Home cooking" menu items from a bologna sandwich to hamburger steak and gravy and everything in between. Fried gizzard, livers, chicken. Sandwiches, salads. My guy ordered hamburger steak, mashed potatoes, and fried okra. Me, fried flounder sandwich, cheesy potatoes, onion rings. Homemade dressings, come on! Excellent ranch for dipping. Everything was excellent. My grandma would approve. Pineapple cake to finish. Large enough to share. Yum. Unsweetened iced tea is excellent. They leave a pitcher to refill your own. Best stop if you're traveling I-95!“

“A nice cozy restaurant with a date night atmosphere you would love. The food has always been great. A simple menu with plenty of choices. So you don't have to spend all night deciding, you can spend the time with the special someone you are with. By the way, don't skip the desserts, you will not regret it. They usually have different desserts each time we go. This last time we had the strawberry lasagna and chocolate lasagna. Delicious!“

“I can't bring myself to give any hotel restaurant a 5-star rating, but this one is close. It's undoubtedly one of the best places in Roanoke Rapids. The salmon, the ribs (though fried instead of slow smoked), and all the sides were excellent. They don't have the service side down pat yet, but everyone was very pleasant. Won't hesitate to eat here again.“

“Charming home town location. Very friendly service. Lots of local folks. Definitely off the main stream. The downtown area is sparse with many vacant retail stores. This is a stand alone cinder block building. Dining area about 22x24. 10 to 12 tables. Clean and basic. Very much like eating at a friends house. I would stop in again.“
