“We stopped here ina Tuesday in the middle of the day & order 4 entrees, cheese dip, and bean dip, and everything was AMAZING! The taco shells were grilled & came with fresh cilantro & onions and tons of meat. They had great vegetarian options too. Service was fast & friendly. Prices were reasonable. We were really impressed with everything and at the end of the meal you get a little free sweet treat, which was icing on the cake!“

We had them cater an event recently and everything was fantastic! The food was hot, delicious, and there was plenty of it. The staff was super helpful loading it all into our truck, and the manager was so friendly when we placed the order. Highly recommend them for any event—or just stop in to eat. The food’s always good and the people are great!“

“Visiting from Texas, and this is THE best taqueria I've visited in NC or VA so far. Birria is some of the best I've ever had. Tacos were excellent, horchata is on point, portions are big. Good service, kind people, and everything tastes like I'm back home. Don't sleep on Los 2 Pollos!“

“Had the waiter from hell! 6/10 about 7:30/8pm. had the nerve to ask if I had ever eaten out before young curly haired guy with a diva attitude. The waiter mentioned he was having a bad day after the "Shelby came out of me"...I guess a bad day was what he was serving as well even if we just wanted shrimp tacos....I didn't get the tacos...I just got a bad day...then went to Burger King 👑 had it my way. I'll cook my own tacos tomorrow! Don't eat at Mi Pueblo on Stratford road. We couldn't even complain because the manager had to get translation from Lucifer....our waiter.... eat popcorn PBJ sandwich even if you're allergic to PBJ just don't go there.“
“Came by to check it out, as my niece recommended the place... I was not disappointed!!! The meat department has some of the freshest meats, and great for a "Carne Ranchera Day". We will continue to purchase from this location, and have referred several friends and family, when they feel like making some good and authentic Mexican meals.“

“A homogeneous salsa blend with chips was served quickly in the bar area of this 50 odd year restaurant, a building thats been around prior to others in the area. Friendly waiter brought out a beef burrito with rice and beans. Upon serving the drink, he noticed that the glass was slightly dirty and brought a cleaner glass.

“Stopped by when I needed to kill some time while walking my dog. They were incredibly accommodating. Brought my dog ice water and even learned his name. The manager came out to greet us as well. Just stopped for a drink and an appetizer but the service was out of this world!“

“We had our wedding catered by Mi Pueblo from King. The sent out a bunch of servers and a manger out. Everyone was super nice and accommodating. We love eating here so we picked a good choice for our special day. Everyone loved all the food and non alcoholic drinks from here. We will continue to go here and would definitely recommend them to cater your functions!!“

“I haven’t had a meal from this establishment that I didn’t love. They catered for my daughter’s quince, the portions were generous and it tasted fantastic. Ana and her wait staff took a load off my shoulders, the staff was super attentive with the guests. Ana also provided the food for my son’s 18th birthday. As always it did not disappoint! I’m looking for a reason to have another party so my friends and family can enjoy Ana’s cooking.“

“Update: After a brief break following my last La Carreta review, we decided to try their takeout again. I am very pleased to report the restaurant is back to providing excellent food and customer service. They have made noticeable improvements that I greatly appreciate. We're ordering from them regularly again.
We have been loyal customers of this location ever since it opened many years ago, typically placing a takeout order at least once a month. Over the past few months, we have been disappointed to see a noticeable decline in La Carreta's service. Staff are not as friendly or helpful as they have been in the past and takeout food orders are frequently inaccurate. Picking up my takeout order today, I had to stand at the front counter for over 10 minutes before a staff member eventually appeared. There was absolutely no one managing or keeping an eye on the front of the restaurant during this entire time. The employee who finally showed up to help me was curt. There was no apology for the wait and no thanks for my order. The food was adequate but not up to usual La Carreta standards. I'm not sure what's wrong at this location, but it will need to improve for us to continue ordering from them.“
“Completely underestimated this place when we pulled up. HOWEVER….the BEST huevos rancheros I have ever had in MY LIFE!!! I added chorizo and loved the green salsa they had. I’m telling you….this place is worth a stop. Great food, everyone was so nice.“

We live in Winston, and the stanleyville Taco Bell would have been much closer, but I haven't been back to that one in almost a year!
STANLEYVILLE HAS TERRIBLE SERVICE AND MANAGEMENT!
Let me just say that tonight I had the best mexi melt since the 90s!
