“Super authentic food! I’m Mexican and I am sooo picky about authentic restaurants. Even though there is no diner to sit in. You can take home some very delicious & authentic dishes. They are very kind, have a variety of salsas, from not spicy to really spicy. All types of meats and meals. They even offer different rice and beans and not a lot of places like these do. I used to drive to Winston-Salem. But I’m glad there is this one closer to home and much better taste. This review comes from the heart because I can’t believe I found a place that’s so authentic and good.“

“We went there only once. Nice environment, and we were greeted by a friendly host, and service was good.As far as food goes, we ordered 4 different items, the portion is extra large, but taste was mediocre. To be fair, we plan to visit again and try different items.“

“This is a very small taqueria/Mexican grill with a rather varied menu with few surprises but loaded with taste, so typical of the hole-in-the-wall places we search for continuously! Some housekeeping items: They open at 10AM (I approve of this), there is no table service, but your order will be brought to you if you are eating in, there is a nice salsa/condiment bar with a great version of Crudito (I also approve of this), the older gentleman who takes the orders will make sure you get what you want - Whew, that wore me out! I ordered Huevos Rancheros, Estiallados style - meaning the eggs are not scrambled or as the term Revueltas means, broken! The eggs, there were 3 of them, were cooked poached style rather than fried, and though they were cooked to the point where the yolks were a bit firm, the overall taste was good. The ranchero sauce was a bit different from the more traditional versions in that there was little tomato present, but there was plenty of sliced onions and a nice heat level! The sauce was layered over several tortillas which lacked any crispness that is normally seen. Overall the dish was very good even though not the most authentic I've tried in the area! The platter also contained refried beans and typical Mexican style rice, both of which were very good. Additional tortillas were included as well, bring the total to 5. The great, friendly service and the quality of the food will bring me back to try more items l. Ambiance - 3 Food - 4.5 Service - 5 Value - 4 ($10.99 for the dish)“

“This is one of the very few remaining Mexican spots in the Triad that I had not visited, so today I checked this box. I was interested in 2 items on the menu - Pepino($2.99) and Birria de Res ($13.99). The interior is very brightly appointed, providing a festive feeling. And the Thursday drink special was a 16 ounce draft for $2.99, so I went with that. My beer and the complementary chips and salsa arrived momentarily. This is good salsa, with a bit more heat than most. The Pepino was soon on the table, as well. This is a very, very simple dish that I first had at a Mexico City central market in the late '70s. It consists of peeled, chilled cucumber slices, to which you add salt, chile flakes, and fresh lime juice, to suit your tastes . It is a very refreshing way to begin a meal in a warm day! The was as perfect start to my first meal here. The Birria de Res is simply the stew from which Birria Tacos gains their filling, and the liquid, or consommé, is part of this dish! The meat, in this instance beef, is marinated, then slow cooked in a red chile broth until falling apart tender. This dish was perfect - huge portion of very tender, very flavorful shredded beef which you top with chopped cilantro and white onion - and I like to add lime juice and Mexican hot sauce - and occasionally I will get side orders of sliced jalapeños and/or grilled onions. It comes with your choice of tortillas so you can build your own Birria tacos if you so choose. This was a very nice first experience here, the service was first class, and I was given a small complementary dessert - kinda cool I thought! This place is exactly why I rarely pass up a restaurant that maybe doesn't have the acclaim of others, or isn't authentic enough for some - you will find a gem that makes the occasional stinker a risk worth taking, maybe only a single dish or two - which I will continue to do. Ambiance - 4 Food - 4.5 Service 4.5 Value - 4.5“

“Food was excellent both in terms of taste and portion size (steak fajitas ). I received outstanding service from my server Edith. Never had to ask for anything, she anticipated every need - refilled drinks, extra napkins, refilled salsa. She was a gem! The establishment itself is a little crowded and dark from my personal perspective but still acceptable.“

“We are regulars here and come almost every Friday. This is by far our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. We have been to a few others but nothing compares. Their salsa is some of the best I’ve ever had, service is so quick every time and the staff is very friendly and makes us feel welcome! The food is always good no matter what you order and even our child looks forward to his quesadillas there each week.“

“Stop asking me for a tip until you’re ready to come to the table and take my order-Then clean my table. The audacity any establishment has to prompt a tip after a person has stood in line, got their own drink, and cleaned up after themselves is unbelievable. Stop leaving tips when they’re not deserved! Foods always great though.“
