“Was driving through town today, Friday, Dec 30, close to noon. Was blown away with the speed of getting our food. It seemed like as soon as we ordered and turned around, it was there. Now that is fast food. Everything was hot, fresh, and made correctly... Literally blew me away. We had a trailer, so we could not use the drive through, it was busy but moving fast... So strange to see that! Wish we had service like this near our house... Maybe it was a fluke, but next time we are in town, we know where to stop. Fingers crossed it's like this again.“

“I love this place and it's one that I'd call a throw back joint. It's not fancy and it looks like it's been here serving locals for a long time. My wife and I left a funeral home in nearby Sandy Mush, N.C. We had to attend a visitation. After this we were a bit hungry. I suggested Mickey D's! She wanted something more original. It's a hamburger joint that also serves various meat and three's. She got a hamburger with lettuce tomato and mayo. I tried two hotdogs and they were solid! We each had fries and sweet tea. The food was very good and the prices were reasonable! I'll be back!“

“Top Dog is a well established, almost historical landmark that is just off of highway 74 on Oakland Rd. The owner, Jim Owens is well known in the area and very respected by most people. The place is not a immaculate yet the food is great. Mr Owens is a friendly person and often has visitors come in from various parts of the country. Yes there have been people coming in from other states and have come back when they came back through the area. He has the usual items in a restaurant hot dogs hamburgers cheeseburgers fries it also has beef dogs fish sandwiches and chicken and barbecue it also has fountain drinks such as Pepsi, mountain dew. Jim is also a published writer. It is race friendly as well as LGBT friendly it is also family friendly. Do not expect the crowd but do expect very good dining.
