“Top Dog is a well established, almost historical landmark that is just off of highway 74 on Oakland Rd. The owner, Jim Owens is well known in the area and very respected by most people. The place is not a immaculate yet the food is great. Mr Owens is a friendly person and often has visitors come in from various parts of the country. Yes there have been people coming in from other states and have come back when they came back through the area. He has the usual items in a restaurant hot dogs hamburgers cheeseburgers fries it also has beef dogs fish sandwiches and chicken and barbecue it also has fountain drinks such as Pepsi, mountain dew. Jim is also a published writer. It is race friendly as well as LGBT friendly it is also family friendly. Do not expect the crowd but do expect very good dining. “I love this place and it's one that I'd call a throw back joint. It's not fancy and it looks like it's been here serving locals for a long time. My wife and I left a funeral home in nearby Sandy Mush, N.C. We had to attend a visitation. After this we were a bit hungry. I suggested Mickey D's! She wanted something more original. It's a hamburger joint that also serves various meat and three's. She got a hamburger with lettuce tomato and mayo. I tried two hotdogs and they were solid! We each had fries and sweet tea. The food was very good and the prices were reasonable! I'll be back!“

“All Burger Kings aren't the same this one is clean and have friendly people working there service is good compared to how crowded they are at times drive through and parking is same location so line interferes with parking if trying to get out but wouldn't keep me from going 5 “
“Excellent food and service. The staff was sweet and helpful, and everything we have gotten here has been awesome. Personally, I highly recommend the grilled pork chops, Mac and cheese casserole, fried okra, fried pickles, the pies, and the chicken wings. Scott's On Btoadway is highly recommended. :)“
“A group from our church eats there for lunch almost every Sunday. The food is good and it's convenient for us. There is ample parking, friendly wait staff, and a varied selection of menu items and a special meat and veggies plate each week.“
