“Wow - this was the best scooped frozen custard I've ever had. I am a big purist when it comes to ice cream and other frozen desserts. I don't order blended, topped, mixed stuff. I want only the dessert in its purest form. And this place is excellent for that. It was super refreshing after an afternoon of hiking. We got fast service and very generous servings. I could only eat about 2/3 of the double scoop. My husband had about 3/4 of a medium Whit-zer (? Sorry if I'm spelling that wrong!).“
“I brought three middle-school age boys here for a treat on a recent weekend. They truly enjoyed their experience. The restaurant is bright, open, and very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. My verdes tamale was large and tasty and the boys enjoyed dorilocos, fruta preparada, and a frozen fruit bar. Prices were fair. We will be back.“

“This was absolutely amazing! We are visiting from Florida and we just happened to come across this beautiful place! Everywhere else we’ve been we’re all closed, and it was fate running into this place! The staff were very friendly and it is such a quaint little ice cream shop. If we stop by this part of North Carolina again, we are sure to come back to this place!“

“This place is a great little ice cream spot! They offer things like mango-nada, chamoyadas, pepino locos, equites as well as banana splits and milkshakes! The service is kinda slow but it seems to be a family run business and it's only a young girl up front and I believe her mom in the back! I recommend going during the week because if you go on the weekend you will wait for ever (they have a line out the door even in the winter). I always get a chamoyada and pepihuates, my husband gets the esquites they are all amazing! I definitely recommend this place but if you go on Sunday be warned you will have a lengthy wait!“

“This place has some really good frozen yogurt, especially if you are trying to avoid too much dairy. They have at least 2 dairy-free options that actually taste good every time I go as well as a variety of dairy free toppings. Everything is well labeled and the dairy-free frozen yogurt actually has a very similar texture to the real thing. They also have a cool lounge space to sit and enjoy your frozen yogurt as well as a few tables outside. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is dairy intolerant or just trying to avoid excessive dairy!“

“I've been many times it's been great every time. The food is good, reasonably priced, and the service is good as well. The atmosphere has sort of a lunch counter feel to it, since they call out order numbers through a loudspeaker system. Overall 8/10 dine in, 9/10 food“

“I wish we had a restaurant like this in California. The outside looked like an empty rundown building with old animal statues on the roof. Boy was I wrong, it was the ambience of this place that struck me. When we walked in we found a long line of guests waiting to order their food. The highest price was $10 for a combo dinner that included a 1/2 barbecue chicken, two sides, hush puppies or Texas toast, a drink, and taxes, $10 total! The next day we did take out without the drink, Pulled pork, the two sides, three hush puppies, or toast, $8.50. I could barely finish the meals. They were tasty.“

“A Chocoholic's heaven. The good news is you don't have to die to get here. Seriously, they have a great selection of all types of chocolate, fudge, and ice cream. Very friendly staff that is very patient with all of your questions. A must-see place when in town.“

“Stopped in to get an ice cream after a hike to Pearson Falls and Glen. Great little sandwich shop and ice creamery. Lots of flavors to choose from and they make their waffle cones in house. The staff was very friendly and offered free tastes to help in the decision process. We will definitely be back when we are in Tryon, NC.“
