“I have been a big fan of Mo’s Pizza for years. Today I tried some other menu options and was completely blown away. The pasta and marinara are excellent. The vegetables are well prepared and fresh. They are not heavily sauced but rely on their natural flavor. The roasted potatoes were exceptional. Service was very friendly, prompt and professional. A real plus is being able to get a first rate meal without having to sit in traffic for an hour. Plenty of free parking more bonus points! Highly recommended!“

“Have lived down here for 5 years. This is the first time we came to Oliver's, and we were not disappointed.! The food was amazing. The server jacqueline, really hustled and bustled with a smile on her face and very, very sweet! My husband is a diabetic and also on dialysis, and has to watch his intake on certain things. And they did his French fries without salt, like we asked, and instead of frying the catfish, he baked it . If I could give jacqueline, a higher than 5 stars. I would .“

“It's been a rough few weeks for small business owners in Southport since the storm and local road issues haven't helped. The other day instead of waiting in traffic I stopped in to check on a friend & fellow restaurant owner at Southport Gourmet and Sushi Bar. Like me at The Saucy Southerner their daily business has been greatly affected and I had an idea I offered the owners. I decided to put together a night with friends and let the restaurant show off a little! Let me tell you!! They showed off big time and made us the most amazing meal!! Our group ate until we couldn't eat any more, and then we ate more!! Everything was fresh, great service and the food was delicious!!! From the sensational appetizers to kick things off, to the second course of some delightful fresh sushi boats and then finished it off with some of their favorite items!! All around we all had a wonderful time and we're grateful to be able to support a local small business during these challenging times. The best part was we beat all the traffic issues, had quality time with friends and made the night a little better for everyone involved! Get out there and support local small businesses and slow down a little. Live life and have fun!!“

“Went here with my family party of 14 for Thanksgiving Buffet and had a great experience. As someone with the a dairy and gluten allergy they accommodated my needs and my daughters! They also have a GF menu. The waiter was super nice she checked the items to make sure I could eat them and even brought me GF and Dairy Free waffles that was not part of the thanksgiving buffet menu. The chef came to check on us a couple of times which was really nice! Great service and food! Thank you!!!“

“I’ve always enjoyed eating here and always will, but the lady spilled a whole glass of tea in my girlfriends lap, which was ok, it was an accident… But they didn’t even offer to take anything off the price which was disappointing… I’ll still go eat here but I was let down from this incident“

Made sure to check them out again & again could not get enough of the delicious food, they have bands that play on their outdoor area on Friday nights which was really fun, we enjoyed our visit and will plan on visiting again soon!“

“Our family ate lunch at Oak Island Sub Shop during our recent stay in Oak Island.
My mother and I both ordered the Italian sub, my father the club, and my husband the Ruben. Meats and cheeses are fresh. All of our sandwiches were delicious, and I can say that because I had a bite of both my husband and father's subs as they both looked so good, I wasn't about to pass up the offer. Of the 3, I will say the Italian was my favorite, but I think that is just a matter of what kind of sub you like best. The service was great and the restaurant was clean, even at a busy lunch time. Our food came out very quickly and was all correct, which was another plus. I ordered pasta salad to go with my sub, but unfortunately it wasn't my favorite and tasted like it was store bought. Of course this is just my opinion. My dad had the potato salad which he said he liked. This I can't personally vouch for since I didn't try it myself.
Of all the restaurants we tried out while I Oak Island, this one was my favorite. In fact, I was bummed I didn't get to return since they are only open until 4pm and closed on Sunday. Next time I am in Oak Island, this place is first on my list. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!“

“We have had dinner there twice in the last two weeks. It was delicious! No problems. Great service. And the special last night was prime rib....for $22.00! What a bargain. We love to eat there. Seafood platters are a bargain too!“
