After a day of sightseeing and hiking, we struck out on a place to eat in Little Switzerland. Just down the road in Spruce Pine, we came upon Anchors Away. It's an unassuming little diner, but the food was delicious. Three out of four us had fried seafood and it was awesome: not at all greasy, very flavorful and the sides were great too. One of us had grilled fish and it was grilled perfectly. We would definitely come back again if we're in the area.

Food was amazing. So was the service! We ate there today, on a Sunday, it was beyond busy, to say the least. I’m not sure our servers name, but my son and I were taken well care of. She was a younger server. Food was great. Happy about all, as usual.
