“I came here for my 30th birthday and off the top the service was amazing our waitress was absolutely amazing super great attitude , really from the entire staff and super yummy food that was served hot, fresh and ina timely manner. they even took it upon themselves to bring me out a dessert on the house for my birthday and made the whole experience wonderful. “The food was hot and delicious. I asked for extra ketchup for my big hit ham and cheese with fries. I pulled over to eat, and there was not any ketchup in the bag. I pull up to go inside to get some ketchup at 8 p.m., and the doors are locked. I had to get back in the drive-thru line behind the cars already there. I get up to the window, and she's says $28.44, and I tell her I did not get any ketchup. I finally, after 10 more minutes after getting my food, I finally git the ketchup I originally asked for.”

“The young girls that usually work the midafternoon shift during the week are a complete JOY. They are extremely friendly with the customers and always have a smile on their face. The store is always clean and well stocked. I probably eat here more than I should, but it's always a great experience which makes it tough to resist the urge.”

“Good old-fashioned, handmade smash burgers! Throwback to the past, and I recommend going even if you have to drive a bit. You can call ahead, I’ll include pictures of the takeout menu. It’s best to have your mapping software lead you there, I included a picture of the convenience store, which can be your landmark to find it, as the restaurant is a storefront at the end. No profanity allowed and cash only. Very friendly people that will speak to you.”

“Left White Lake to return home to Greensboro. I love mom and pop type shops and had wanted to try Big Daddy's. I went out of the way to try them on the way back to Greensboro, I am glad I did. When I arrived in Autryville, I was convinced that google gave me bad directions. Little store front in the middle of nowhere. Walked in and just loved the old store full of friendly people. They had good food and good prices. Fed 4 of us for about 25 bucks. The combination of a rural setting and good, friendly people, and a laid back environment makes this place somewhere I will visit anytime I visit white lake. Small family owned places like this with good food are hard to find, I will be back in the future and encourage others to travel to Autryville and enjoy the small town charm you will find here.”

“Marquis Bistro is surprisingly nice! This restaurant is conveniently attached to the DoubleTree Hotel. I was in town (visiting from DC) for a special event at Fort Bragg (yes I said Bragg!) and didn't want to leave my hotel to find dinner. I had very low expectations, but to my delight the food and service were wonderful. The bistro was pretty packed with hotel guests and locals, but the one lady taking orders was very fast, friendly and actuate. I ordered the cheese burger and glass of wine. The burger was delicious; and the bistro had a fair selection of wines. If I am ever in the area again, I'll go to the Marquis Bistro.”

“Although short of Grace and her staff on a busy night the staff worked hard to assure that we had a pleasant dining experience! They worked well as a team and seemed to enjoy their work. (Would not recommend the pork chop. It was grainy, maybe dried out in the freezer??)”

“Such a delightful surprise on our trip down 95! I would never have expected a Subway to have amazingly gracious staff. We stopped for lunch and though the staff were in training mode when we arrived, they finished their task & turned to us. Our sandwiches were LOADED with ingredients and the staff went out of their way to save us money. If you are in the area, stop in. Don’t be put off by the fact it’s in a gas station

I went back on day 2 because the food was hot and good on day 1 (chicken queseidilla) and day 2 I got a Mexican pizza! Super yummy both times. 😋”
