“Being from California, I have been searching the entire East Coast for a Mexican food restaurant that actually knows how to cook REAL Mexican food, it took me five years but I finally found La Familia here in Statesville and they DO NOT DISAPPOINT! Hands down, the best Mexican food I’ve had since moving from California (THE BEST BY FAR!) And to top it off, their prices are VERY reasonable! Like it says at the counter “hold your britches, they ain’t a fast food restaurant” so if you’re expecting precooked nuggets or burgers go to McDonald’s. Be patient, I promise if you want fresh food and fresh ingredients this is the place for you. the food is definitely worth the wait!”

“This was our first time getting breakfast since the cafe changed ownership. We each ordered Breakfast Plates with scrambled eggs, link sausages, and hashbrowns. I believe the portions were generous (we saved at least half the amount of food for leftovers), and the food was absolutely delicious! We also ordered French Toast to split between us, and they were really good, too. Thankful that the new owners from Power Cross Ministries kept this place going. We will definitely plan on coming again!”

“We just moved to the area a few weeks ago and have been exploring all the different shops in the area. I came across Kiley's Sugar Shoppe on Facebook, and I couldn't wait to try it, because all the photos she posted looked amazing. We were not disappointed - we tried the banana pudding, strawberry daiquiri Cupcake, strawberry macaron, vanilla and chocolate cake pops, and a cinnamon roll. Everything was delicious, and Kiley was so sweet to my daughter who was very interested in telling her all about our day and recent explorations of the area. We Will definitely be back!”

“I have been coming here for years especially on Thursdays and Fridays!! I will just say I have never had a bad experience while eating here!! The food is good but wanted to brag a little on the waitress Lindsay that seems to always be there when I eat. She is always busy either serving tables or answering that phone but always checks on everyone!!! Is always super nice when she is able to have a 2 min conversation. When she isn’t there I seem to have issues with getting drinks or my order is wrong but that won’t deter me from coming back!!”

The food is good. We have a pretty big family of picky eaters, but they never complain about Chinese when we get it from here.

There is no dine-in seating; this restaurant is currently take-out only. Some seats while you wait, but otherwise bring it home.

Overall, our first pick for take-out Chinese for sure.”
