I am an unapologetic shrimp nerd.… Fried shrimp in particular. Yes, I’m spoiled. I’ve had fried shrimp up and down the eastern seaboard from Maine to the tip of the Florida keys.
Perhaps I’m bias, having lived worked and visited the Holden Beach area for the past four decades, and I’ve had my share of both good and bad shrimp. Unfortunately, more of the latter than the prior.

Went to The Warf last night. 👎👎
Service was terrible. Took forever to get to our table. Never checked back for drinks. Food took forever, our food came out 10 minutes after our guests were already eating theirs. Fish sandwich was ice cold and had to be remade. We won’t be going back.
Great Food and service. I would highly recommend. Also beautiful dinning on the water.

The Wharf at Holden Beach offers fresh seafood with a great family atmosphere and wonderful folks. The food is delightful, outstanding, and truly wonderful, with many dishes described as amazing, phenomenal, and delicious. Specific menu highlights include shrimp and grits, flounder, fried shrimp, a shrimp platter prepared grilled and blackened, the mango shrimp wrap, blackened fish tacos, a poke bowl, the French dip, and an oyster po boy. Sides like cut fries, hush puppies with a special twist, and slaw are wonderful. The New England Clam Chowder is creamy, good, and phenomenal. For dessert, the homemade carrot cake is a delectable finish.
The service is super friendly, supreme, excellent, and exceedingly attentive, with staff that are a lot of fun. The beautiful outdoor deck provides a great view of the waterway, perfect for watching the sun go down over the bridge. The ambience by the water is great, making for a great experience. It is a beloved beach tradition with a welcoming atmosphere, even for dogs.
