As Dead fans, we were delighted with the menu items and various references to the band throughout the place. Service was fast and prices were on par. We'll be back!!“

“96% recommendation??? No, those 4% are cuckoo… My girl-friends and I were in Maggie Valley a couple weeks ago for a girls trip when a couple of us needed a pick me up. We are so glad we did. This place is amazing starting with the signs all over the walls. We loved them. Then it was the drinks; they were phenomenal. But most importantly, the barista was the best ever. Her personality was contagious and I wanted to pack her up and carry her around with me because we all need a constant dose of what she serves and I don’t mean just the drinks!!! 20/10 highly recommend!!!“

“We love the Selu for its excellent breakfast which is one of our favorite meals. Sunday was the first time we got oatmeal and it could have been hotter. It's was lukewarm at best. We assumed it would be hot since they open at 7am and we were one of the first ones there. Other than that the food is good and the staff members are wonderful. Been going there over 5 years.“

“I am not a coffee drinker, but Java City Cafe, located conveniently in the Hunter Library, has non-coffee options. I’d never been here before, so I was not aware that they did not have liquid sweetener and you had to add your own with the packets. I ordered the medium Watermelon Cucumber Mint Refresher, and it was not sweet enough for me. I ended up adding a few packets of sugar. The drink itself had good flavor. The people working were super nice as well. I definitely would come back here, it’s worth the walk.“
